Hey guys, in this video we will show you how we removed and replace control arm bushing on a BMW E46. We demonstrated on a 2004 BMW E46 325CI Convertible but it will be the same procedure for all e46. You can actually remove the whole control arm but we prefer doing it without removing it.

never take your e46 to a mechanic it’s too easy to fix you dont need any previous working on cars to fix the e46 you only need tools

I recommend just using a puller to remove the stuck bushing, not a cutter....

I have NEVER had a control arm bushing go on that easy I've tried dish soap, laundry soap, grease and oils and I have always had to use a BFH or Press.

Using dish soap on the bushing will loosen the bushing with out power tools. Used a C Clamp to remove/install the bushings

How exactly did you use the c clamp?

What kind of handdrill or power wrench is that, what NM does it have and does it unscrew car tires?

kay poly they loosened the bolts first. It’s just a 2 volt screw gun. Good for finishing off loosened bolts. Will not break loose or tighten bolts.

Just to say,you can get bushing out without removing sub-frame.Did it last year after first taking wheel off,undoing bush.Then push shock=cum brake disc outwards,pull wish bone arm out and pull bush off.Reverse to get back in. ???

You will need a low profile trolley jack or mount the front tyres on to a piece of wood.
