The seal around the cables looks broken mate, the water will make its way back into the tailgate if it remains unsealed, otherwise great help for my next project...thanks ^^

I know this vid is a few years old at this point but I'm doing a similar job. One question though, during your intro around 1.47 there is an unplugged connecter wire hanging there. Mine is currently unplugged also, is this supposed to be the case? If not where does it plug in? Thanks!!

Nice job - I was hoping to get some clues on the interior panel clips though? I have water coming out the bottom of tail gate (drains out along the top edge when tailgate open) - I thought perhaps there were some drain holes but couldnt see any in your video? Any suggestions?

Hi. Did you solve this. I have same problem. Tailgate full of water and when I lift it it drains into boot. E91 though?

The tailgate is original just from another car👍🏻 Wings match well but the rest of the car could do with a clean and polish to make perfect!

Great video George, i have to replace my E46 tailgate as well but the wreckers cut the wire loom on the new hatch i got. Any idea how i release the glass pane so i can access the hinges?

the latch for the glass is tiny and right next to the wiper underneath the little curved plastic housing for it. if you can get the trim inside the hatch removed, you should be able to find a manual release

Hello George, is it easier to remove and replace the tailgate as one piece or remove the tailgate minus glass and install minus glass? I feel like the complete tailgate with glass is very heavy and not easy to mount even with two strong people.
