BMW e60 5 series side marker F series type upgrade HOW TO

in this video i show you how to replace the side marker like on the e60 fender. very easy and cheap mod to do.

Ok so this is weird, I got the exact same lights but only one side fits. The socket on the other light is mirror image so you can't plug it in, the clip on the plug is on the wrong side which puts the notch inside the light at the bottom instead of the top so it can't go in. Am I doing something spectacularly stupid here, what am I missing? 2005 530i.

BimmerTV pretty sure their the same connection. The eBay page advertises them fitting on a lot of models even f10 so I’m assuming they should.

Didn’t even know this was an option on eBay. On a side note, i found a 545i with the rear screen. I already bought two doors for my car and a few other misc items. I’m going back to get the screen. Do I just need the window switch and screen assembly? I want to make sure I get everything I need for the retrofit.

for the rear shade retrofit, you need the rear panel (or cut your old one), the window shade/motor, and the window switch. just run the two wires from the plug on the motor to the DSC module to connect the power/neg. pretty simple retrofit. if its a junked car, get the pin connectors as youll have a hard time finding them anywhere. just cut them off and just butt connect them to a long atleast 20-22awg wire. if you need the connectors, contact me.

roskinc I just hope he didn’t threw away the door panel with the switch. I got the door shell only. I believe I saw your video on the retrofit screen. I’ll have to rewatch if I get the parts. Thanks again for your input.
