Damn no clickbait super secret M mode tip Handy tip I use to wash the headlights is to have the lights on, when you wash the windscreen.... It's enough to give them a quick wash to remove any light surface dirt Also the centre cubby bin on the drivers side you can slide forwards the top section on that side if you want to rest your arm on that side... I don't use it but can be done

Hi M Tech Guy, I have just started to look at new front brake pads and found that some manufacturers seem to do a pre09/2008 and an after 10/2008. ie brembo P06047 & P06066 other manufactures just seem have 1 part number that covers the lot. I wasn’t aware of any differences between pre and post 10/2008 e60 m5’s for the brake system! Have you come across this? Any recommendations for pad makes I normally go for ATE’s ? Thanks for the help

Should be just one part number. ATE are good pads but dust heaps. Textar are OEM I’d go with them. My car came with Roadhouse pads and they’ve been real good also 👍

how do you stop the air conditioner from turning on every time you start the engine?

Make sure you turn the A/C off before Turing the car off, the key should remember the last setting and revert to that when the car is next started

How do you disable the e60 M5s alarm? Ours goes off randomly...

You can deactivate the tilt & interior motion sensor by double pressing the remote key lock button twice, watch the red light underneath the rear view mirror, it will stay illuminated for a short while before it starts flashing- to confirm it’s worked

I would keep my 06, just because I've done or had done some of the big ticket items like clutch, discs and pads and lots of the little niggles that crop up.... Some of the newer/lower mileage cars will soon be due these things so it adds to the cost of ownership I bought my car due to the condition, spec and price.... And to drive and enjoy it, not for speculation that it will sky rocket in price in years to come Having said that if I was buying one now I'd go for a late model car, purely for age related reasons, the underbody is well protected but pipes and metal corode with time At the time I bought mine it was 9 years old so a newer 2010 would still be around that 10 year old ballpark
