Thanks for doing this video. I had problem opening the trunk with remote and manually it won't open I took it to dealer they opened it inside by passing a kind of hanger thought back passenger seat . I paid $ 140.00. Then worked on my self it's time consuming but every thing is working fine thanks to this video maker. Excellent work keep it up.

Use a little AT-205 with the hydraulic fluid. It will recondition the seals in the system.

Same thing happened to my car, bmw refilled the hydraulic fluid. However the fault still keeps on happening. Does the hydraulic fluid evaporate or leak? is there a permanent solution to this issue? Thanks

I have the same problem of the oil leak from the hydraulic cylinder above the DVD changer , is there any cure for that ? Do I have to change the whole thing with all cables connected to the pump ? Also can I use ATF oil to fill the pump tank ?

Hi: I think I have the same issue. However for me, the trunk opens after 4-5 attempts on the remote. But sometime it wont open using the remote. I can always open the trunk using the physical key. One thing, how to remove the cover. I checked and it has many round buttons. How to remove them, I try to unwind them but they keep on spinning. Do I pop them out using a flat head screw driver? Thanks for the video. I have a 2003 745Li that opens the trunk all the way but sometimes after a few seconds it's starts coming back down. I'm wondering if I'm low on hydraulic fluid as well.

+D Keks Part number 51-24-7-202-869. I purchased it from a dealer for $99.24. Be sure to fill the reservoir twice, just like the video shows, the trunk will work perfectly! Artie
