Dude! Those look amazing!! My girl has an E60…. I have sanded and refinished the outside plastic - but she really needs a sharper cutoff and normal 4300-5000k bulbs in there. Previous owner put some suspect bulbs in there or they’re just old and color shifted…. In researching I have found that there are replacement plastic lenses you can buy but it sounds like they’re not exactly plug n play. It’s also a high mileage car that we only drive about a mile or two from the house so not a big deal but dayum!!! Bmw really doesn’t want people to be able to fix anything without a major headache involved… I can now see why the Supra was a revised BMW where Toyota thankfully could steer the direction towards quality Overall this is an amazing job you have done here and going the extra mile!!! It seems to me that manufacturers are going to push a car rentership society in the near future being that most are overusing plastic on key components and the inflated prices…

Got a bit more information here on removal of lens - kzbin.info/www/bejne/eZjWcmpprqmfd6s - resealing is just like any other assembly once butyl is installed, thats the easy part. Let me know if you have any questions!

I've got two E70s. The housing lenses are still in pretty good shape on both, but the projector bowls on one of them are getting really bad. I'm glad you've been able to figure out the peculiarity of these lights and have your process dialed in. I'll be sending in at least one set this year for the full retrofit with the other to follow not long after.
