I AM SO GLAD I FOUND YOUR VIDEO!!! THANK YOU! My blower stopped and damn near every bmw blower video on YT shows how to remove the glovebox, then the underside dash, then the blower motor. I tried your video advice and had it working & done within 10 minutes!! 6 screws, then I rotated the motor (which was easy to turn) then sprayed lithium grease on the top spindle and it all works great now.

Hey cekamsr, thank you so much for taking the time to comment and watch my video. I'm so glad you got it working and you found my video helpful. Do consider liking and subscribing. But yes, it's a good quick fix, although I've found, the damage is usually done and the blower will need replacing at some point. Take crae and have a great day, Adrian

@@AdrianJayeOnline The crazy thing is I had the blower & climate adjuster or whatever it's called replaced in 2017. It always worked fine but I usually store my car in the garage for the winter & drive my truck, but it always worked fine, I put in my garage, then when pulled it out for summer it didn't work. So I knew it wasn't the regulator or bad bearings, but your vid sure did come in handy at the right time my friend. Thanks again!

wtf have you repaired?. oiled the shaft, from outside?no chance
@AdrianJayeOnline Жыл бұрын
This was my first attempt at it, you "can" get thin penetrating oil to run down that shaft and it will it will take a WHILE, the problem is bad design by BMW and the issue I had with the leaky windscreen. I have another video where I had to take it apart and lubricate it from the other side. I didn't think it would hurt a try to do that, it depends on how rusty the bearing is, I didnt wanna take it out. fixing it was spinning the fan by hand although that was a temporary measure. As you can see from the comments other people have tried it and it has worked.

Good video man thnxs but after I replaced this completely I was notified of a small coolant on the system checked and no coolant on the tank in advance I had changed the thermostat but why did I lose all the coolant after I changed the fan? any connection? can not see signs of leaks BMW 1 series 118i E87 but the car runs well.
@AdrianJayeOnline4 жыл бұрын
I think it was total coincidence, the blower fan has no connection with the coolant whatsoever, the low coolant alert, is that the water in the cooling system is low, after you changed the thermostat you would have had to refill, how did you refill ? There is a specific way to fill and get rid of air, that could have been the problem, I have a video on that as well, I'll try and find the link, txs for the comments !

Oh wait that was the one that I didn't upload as the camera crashed look up refill bleeding procedure for n52 bmw You have to basically top up, put a battery charger on the car, keep ignition on and press the gas pedal down for 10 sec's you'll hear the water pump cycle, takes about 12 minutes.

@@AdrianJayeOnline First of all thanks for the feedback have a lot to say for me it was the workshop that filled the antifreeze after the thermostat change so count them have done the job right they have changed a bit on my car so have good contact with it. Yes ok okay nothing with it and do understand but then I bet it was due to thermostat change. More you can say? I will take out radiator cover and rund the car for about 10 minutes and take out air in the system I think that is the issue. Agreed? the mechanic pull up 1 liter antifree after termostat change blue one them know its the right one. Could it be the radiator cap? because I do not hear a click when I lure it it should hear clip sound when you lure it.
@AdrianJayeOnline4 жыл бұрын
@@Data4664 ok, so if your getting a coolant leak after somone did the work, i.e. changed the themostat, then they could have maybe not put something back correctly, could be a leak somewhere. You need to check "if" you are loosing water and or the level is too low, check the level in the reservoir. On our cars, n52, it's a sealed system with an electronic water pump also there is no water temp gauge so the usual method for bleeding our cars also called on other cars "burping" the system isn't adviseable. You need to bleed the system correctly as I described earlier, look up youtube videos similar to "how to bleed n52 radiator" and no there is no "click" on the radiator cap. one thing you could do is replace the cap, if it is failing to make a seal water could leak, in order I would do this 1> replace cap 2> bleed syste, 3> get car back to your mechanic who did the work
