I just got new boots. Same problem as you. Different bike. 97 r850r, oil head. You confirmed what my next step must be. I adjusted the shifter as far as it would go. I figured I'd need to move the part on the spline shaft to get the shift lever higher. I thought that my new alpinestar boots would fit the bike well.. narrow toe box and all. I'll make it fit. Thanks Mate.

I hope it helped you, for me it was enough to fit the boots. On the 750 and 850 GS It’s important to test on the highest level of the shifter so that’s not touches the side of the engine. It might be the same on the R850R. Ride safe 😊

Hi, Thank you for asking. The upper crash bar is from Wunderlich. and the lower crash bar is the BMW OEM engine bar. Normaly Wunderlich have the in black or stanless and also in yellow for the "40 Years GS-Edition". I choosed the stainless to match the OEM Engine guard , but also its less sensitive for scratches.

Yes I really want to go back out again. I wish I had som more vacation to take out 🇳🇴 The adjustment works really good. I had a good opportunity to try it out on my last ride to Norway. Also the boots feels good, but I didn’t got the opportunity to try them in rain. The Gore-tex in my new pants you know, no rain on that trip 😂. I have to take both the boots and the pants out for a ride in the rain so I get the chance to really try them out. 👍

I have a skid plate from wunderlich. It’s called “Wunderlich engine protection "EXTREME" - EURO4 - without original motor protection plate - black” I’m not sure if you are helped by a link, I bought it from a Swedish website. I don’t know if they have it in stock or if they selling to other countries than Sweden. When I bought it it had been out of stock from wunderlich but they was able to get a couple of black ones. I guess that the best is to contact wunderlich.de or a retailer in your country

Tack 🙏.Det är det inte mycket justeringsmån på pedalen tack vare att den sitter så nära motorn, men det lilla justeringen gör skillnad. Men åker man med en ännu högre och styvare stövel måste man nog byta pedalen eller sänka fotpinnarna. 😊

@@JoonesAdventuresMC ok, jag minns inte helt hur de boots jag hade var, men har för mig att de var rätt låga. De brann upp tillsammans med gortexställ, ryggplatta, handskar och hjälm i en brand 😟 det är också en anledning att jag inte skaffat en hoj sedan jag tog kortet.

Aj, tråkigt att höra. Det blir verkligen stor investering när allt måste köpas samtidigt. I början eller om man tvingas börja om så måste man ju det. Jag hoppas du hittar tillbaka till hojandet. Stövlarna är ju inte höga som arbetskängor med stålhettor, det handlar om några millimeter i skillnad. Jag kände skillnad när jag körde med regnskyddet på de gamla stövlarna. Det sitter verkligen i muskelminnet. Några millimeter och tån fastnar. Med höga skaft så känner man ju även av den ändrade vinkeln. Mest märkbart blir det förstås mellan 1:an och 2:an sedan öppnar det upp lite mer. Men då farten oftast är lite lägre mellan 1o2 så blir marginalen mindre om man missar och behöver korrigera. 😊 Jag kan tillägga lite off the record att fårskit och regnöverdragen jag hade på gamla stövlarna, inte var en bra kombination, det höll på att bli en sån där Yoga pose som är så populär 🤸‍♂️😂

I Just bought my gaerne sg12 and can not use them because that shit gear lever has not enough space for my boots :(

Have you tested to adjust the lever? I’m not sure but maybe you can gain some space by removing the rubber on the pegs or get lower pegs? There’s also third part adjustable levers. But I should start with the rubber and perhaps lower peg’s
