BMW F Series Power Fold Mirror Retrofit With Coding (F10, F20 , F22 , F30 )
On This Car I Installed The Power Fold Mirror Retrofit This Car Had Already Memory seats , Auto Dip Mirror, Therefore The Retrofit Was Straight Forward. If You Don't Have Memory Seats Or Auto Dip Mirror From Factory You Will Need To Alter The wiring On The Passenger Side To Make This Work, As Cars Without This Will Have 9 Wires, 3 Are Not Needed And You Also Wont Have A (LIN) Line Which Is Why You Will Need To Alter The Wiring In Order To Do This.
You Will Also Need To VO Code Your Car With E SYS As Can Be Seen In the Video With The Code 430 & Delete 431 If present, Then Code The FEM To Make The Power Fold Mirrors Work.
You Do Not Have to Have The New Switch Pack Which Can Be Seen On My Video, But You Will Not Have Control Of The Mirrors From The Interior And Only On The Key, I Would Strongly Recommend Buying The New Switch Pack Also For This Retrofit.

Did this on my F30, works exactly as showed in the video. Key factor here is that mirrors with five pins have module that communicates with the FEM through lin bus, while mirrors with 6 pins don't have that module and are controlled directly from the controller.

Retrofit has done for folding mirror, my new folding mirrors has auto dim mirrors but my interior mirror doesn’t have sonsors, I read that for retrofit interior mirror can be wired with rain sonsors, but rain sonsors it has kl15 which is powered by ingnition and prevent car go to sleep, can I bring kl30 from other unit? Or I must bring wire from fuse box, thank you

Hi I've just installed power folding mirros on my F30 (2018) but , it came without the power folding mirrors. The folding function is working fine and the tilt function is working fine too when I put in reverse. The problem is: sometimes when I turn off the car the mirror moves to a random position. Do you have some clue what'is happening? In FEM_BODY I left option S431 (Interior rear-view mirror with auto dip) and add S430 (Interior/outside mirror with auto dip). Am I doing something wrong? I have just fitted M4 mirrors to my F32, and the drivers side does not fold in as much as the passenger side. Does anyone know of a position reset sequence or some manual adjustment? This seems to be a common issue, so it could just be normal for some reason.

I have a 2015 F33, a 435i Luxury convertible. On LCI F3x cars (2017-on) auto mirror folding/unfolding on the key fob is active as standard but not on mine. All the functionality is already there and activation via coding is pretty much routine on these cars. I want to do it on mine too but there's a hitch. On the BimmerCode website it says that the activation won't work on convertibles and I have run across people on BMW forums who say that they tried to do it on their convertible with BimmerCode or with other coding apps but that once they have exited the app, they find that the change has had no effect. Why is this? I can understand that convertibles are built differently where the rear of the car is concerned because of the whole folding/unfolding of the roof. What I don't understand is what's different about the doors on the F33 compared to the F32 (or the F30/F31 for that matter) particularly given that this became a standard feature on LCI cars _including_ convertibles.

Why code the power folding with Bimmercode? You can do it wth Esys can't you? What advantage does Bimmercode give you rather than using Esys?

I can indeed ! But I had to use the both of them purely because I was paid by BimmerCode a lot of money to use there app and devices in my videos. Therefore I have to use both, that’s not to say BimmerCode isn’t worth it. It’s so worth it I love BimmerCode it’s easy to use and more portable and coding power fold mirrors is easier on BimmerCode to code. Also I didn’t want to dive completely into e system on this video, as thats what my members pay for on KZbin. Them videos ain’t for on normal KZbin, of course if you want to watch them fully with e sys become a member from £44.99 and it’s easy to follow my fully screen recorded videos which are all over 20mins long and detailed
