Great video lots of interesting comments, I've thought about having dpf and egr solutions to, had this on my previous e90 till guy i new moved area's, id also worry about insurance if u do have an accident there look anywhere possible for a reason not to pay up. I think i read it has to be above 40mph for a regen also rather then 60.

Hi mate thanks for that 👍 yeah it’s always a worry with insurance but all the restrictions don’t to the car any favours can’t win really 😂 I’ve never even noticed the car do a regen it must do it tho doing 300 plus miles a week ..Tom will blown some rubbish out today 😂😂

If your worried about insurance, just get the internals removed on the dpf, as it looks std from the outside, the egr can just be blanked but depends on how close they look 🤷🏼‍♂️

I've seen a few charts with the different modes showing throttle sensitivity, shift speed and other effects for the BMWs with the ZF8 Sport Auto. Does your remap make it clear which (if any) of these are adjusted?

Hi mate when I got it mapped I asked the guy what mode the map was active in and he said it was active in all modes which I could tell the difference to be fair 👍😎

After the EGR recall mine was a bit lower mpg but over the months since it seems to have crept back up to what it did before.

Great video. Had a f31 320d for 5yrs, loved it. Bought a f31 330d 3yrs ago, loved it even more. Strange how you get used to the power. Got it a stage 1 remap a few weeks ago, boy did that put a smile on my face, what a fantastic car it is now. 315 bhp, 656 n of torque. It's not about need, it's about want. My only concern is that I don't do the mileage so much any more. is the occasional blast sufficient ? Thanks.

Hi mate yeah I know what you mean we love these cars to and the torque is phenomenal what more do you need from a daily driver ..I’d say a good run every week or two get the motor nice and hot will do it the world of good sadly these cars do like mileage 👍😎

Thanks buddy no probs if you doing miles I wouldn’t panic to much about the dpf if you doing town driving all the time maybe consider a delete..ps them 35ds hold there price you will love it proper quick motors 😎👍

I covered 60 miles a day mainly motorway byepass small amount of town driving I was getting around 50 mpg 💪👍

I have an f30 335d. I have it at 380bhp with egr and swirl flaps turned off. Do you think a dpf delete would make it smoke?

Hi mate good power bet it’s a beast ..I had an is 220d Lexus few years back the dpf used to regen for fun it was embarrassing..so had the dpf done egr and mapped no smoke unless under really hard right foot and even then not much smoke and went through mot fine 👍

How u find the seats..? I'm struggling to get comfortable and find right position love the car but probably the worst seat out of the many cars I've had

@330d fam 😎 I back bolsters are fine its the leg ones are a touch too narrow I'm 6ft3 and light to sit with my legs slightly open and they dig in. I guess it's my posture. I'm slowly getting used to it but also no lumbar adjustments it seems very firm. I will get there mate looking for a little cushion 🤣

I think this car suits a remap, however, why on earth did you get one if you normally drive it in 'Eco-Pro'? DPF delete ends up pumping black anti-social smoke out the rear - the whole turbo and exhaust system is engineered for a DPF to ensure the CORRECT back pressure is available. I had a DPF delete done on an E91 330d and I couldn't wait to get rid of it - there wasn't enough back pressure which meant it lost torque at the top end. Every time you overtook you'd have thought a new Pope was elected!!!

Hi mate had full deletes done on other cars and it’s vastly improved economy and performance with zero smoke except on full hard load however its minimal..as for the eco pro I do lots of miles and want the best economy the map is still active in eco pro and it’s just nice to have the extra power there if I want it 👍

Interesting u had issues with smoke mate, we had the dpf delete and egr done an my wife’s car along with a stage 1 map e92 330d, absolutely no issues with smoke as you can see from the Video we’ve done, also Gareth’s 535d has the dpf delete and stage 2 map, again look at videos, no smoke, think you might have had an issue with oil seals in your turbo? Deleting the DPF actually reduces the back pressure on your turbo/turbos helping it to spool quicker increasing the boost potential and should prolong its life, granted that its mainly if it’s not a high milage car and not flowing properly but with any engine reduce the restrictions = more power less stress, if you were getting loads of smoke would have been burning oil or over fuelling from poor map, possibly faulty injectors etc, just my opinion tho🤷🏼‍♂️

Just thought eco pro saves fuel and reduces throttle response! I know Martin drives like miss daisy, but he knows how to put his food down with the cars he’s owned ( granted it is for 5 mins😂) not all of us drive at full throttle as we love our cars and respect them, a map just means it’s better in all modes compared to STD and fuel economy is better, we’re not kids but doesn’t mean we can’t put our foot down when needed or we get a proper challenge, respect to your granny tho 😎
