Very nice. I have been very seriously considering that bike. Since it is lighter than the 1200 and the power should still be adequate. The suspension is important to me as well. Because it is a BMW the quality is good and there should be a good selection of quality baggage available for it. Thanks for the nice review!

Why would you need a status symbol? when in reality the 850gs is as good as the 1250gs, it sounds better (like a v-twin), cheaper, more practical and performs almost the same as the r1250..

It's peer pressure not practicality that's driving any group, if the economy's agrees with the group members they'll be driven to to the highest status within that lineage, BMW is betting Euro on that. If you follow this group over the years you'll notice that they started off with little motor scooters..

nice review. just to add abs pro will skid but prevents slide, soft dampening, abs on front k ly advantage you can leave the clutch out. pwede gapang. If the dongle is attached you remove the computer for Pro riders. ride safe

They're not on the same segment. Power is more than double, and engine vibration is almost half. Although on paper cb500x is much lighter, they feel almost the same because the former is more top-heavy. 🙂
