Hello, dear friends. This is Cristian and Bogdanel (the guys in the video 😀). This one, recorded back in September, is our last video for the DriveMag Riders. From now on, you can watch us on our new channel - Racing and Adventure. The DriveMag Riders experience was such a nice story, and we're happy to have you with us, but it's time for a fresh start. The clutch is an issue that BMW knows about. Contact your dealer and they should arrange for a replacement, the 'new' clutch is so much better.

As far as the clutch goes, with all BMW's, I let the clutch out until it barely starts to engage, THEN I add throttle. Works like a charm. Most BMW's have a very late clutch engagement, so this method makes it so easy

i gave up on local service here on yamaha, honda, kaw. so bmw/triumph at least are in he running. At 6' tall can i sit upright and leg room compared to ? Whats new vs the older models. same weight ? Low seats decrease leg room . Comfort is an import not offered here.

8:17 this is a known issue with the clutch, you need to take both bikes to the dealer to have the complete clutch assembly replaced on warranty.

Will BMW be recalling the bikes as I have the very same issue with my bike?
@PMitchell1063 жыл бұрын
@@Dave-RobGriff they only issue recalls for safety or regulatory issues, but your warranty covers any defect not caused by wear or abuse. There is a TSARA (Technical Support and Research Assistant) case on this, so if your dealer pretends they can't find any information on the issue, they are lying.

Definitely something awry with the clutch. I've lived with it since I bought the bike and raised it wit my dealer who said it was fine. But I complained again after another month and they contacted BMW who said they were sending a new clutch straightaway without even looking at the bike. Can't wait to get it fitted - hope it makes a good bike even better.
@PMitchell1063 жыл бұрын
@@jerseyraindog It's interesting, the 2020 900's had a different clutch than the 850GS and had a lot of problems, those are the ones that should be swapped out with no drama. The later 900's supposedly get the 850GS clutch from factory, but some people are still having excessive feedback through the lever and notchy engagement, which is the problem that some dealers are less likely to take seriously, but some have still had major service for if they push hard enough.

If your clutch is as bad as they show at 8:38 you should talk to your dealer, they need to replace the assembly on warranty, there is not a recall yet but there is a PuMA case on it.

what is the clutch problem the F900r is having?
@jellethegreatest3 жыл бұрын
@@senor-fa-von-dia As the guy describes.. in early series of the bike it could grab the first gear entirely with still an amount of clutch release... if you don't expect it it can be real tricky. BMW does act to the problem with replacing the clutch under warranty.

How long have you had the F800R? Still enjoying it? I love my F900R but have never ridden the 800. I've ridden the Yamaha XSR and MT-09, and though the average rider prefers the Yamahas for their power, I think there's no comparison in feel, sound, quality, features. I expect anyone who liked the 800 will love the 900. It is much heavier than most of the competition and it gets very pricey with all of the options.
