Thnx so much for this. Did the upgrade today and it works flawlessly. Do you know if it's possible to place a rear climate control unit in a G30 that doesn't have one? Are the wires there or is there more to it? I see a lot of 2nd hand rear units on ebay so I'm hoping for a kind of plug and play kinda thing😄

Wanted to add here for anyone that might see it: Removing the back cover on the climate controls can be a tough situation, what i did was ram a big flathead right in the middle, and then shimmy it up to a corner to unclip the corner, while holding the ac knob i took a tiny flathead and removed the remaining clips on the side, once a whole side is out just yank it apart and itll just snap out!

Didn’t need this upgrade but cool to watch and I learned about the turn off vehicle through the option button as getting out it did seem the vehicle likes to stay on longer than expected by most.

Hi, Just done this, i will give you one tip. You don't need to change the buttons one by one you can take it out whole part and replace it to the other part complete with buttons. I did replace the buttons one by one but i noticed the one foem 7 series have a silicon thing inside for the small holes in several of the buttons when you press the button for AC as example , and when you change the buttons this small hole is not filled as for the original one from 5 series this silicon filler is on base from the button and the buttons are with holes, the one from 7 series are fild with silcon for the lighrlt reflection. If you have still all the parts you can chaneged it.

Just quickly reporting back - I managed to do the upgrade! found a reasonable priced lower digital panel from a G11 off ebay. Followed all your steps, swapped out the buttons and rear bracket. Was all fine, though there were two springs that fell out, had to google to find out how to put them back (there are two tiny holes where the springs need to be placed, each under the AC buttons). Overall, went fine. Thanks so much !! Just one lingering aspect, I couldnt get my upper dash panel to click back in place very smoothly, it feels like its not seated properly. I dunno.. i might reopen it and try again. If you would do another video to show very slowly how you align the vents and clips before clicking it all back it, would be super helpful. I really struggled..

Aloha all, I have 2014 F30 that I recently gave to my son and picked up a 2023 G30. I love G30 because of the added space (being 6’ it’s awesome) and also loved the F30. I have a bit of a problem though right now with the G30. I installed an amp and sub into the F30 by tapping a LOC to the speaker wires myself. I then picked up the 2023 G30 and thought I could do the same but now I have no sound and the warning systems are not working either. Any ideas? I put Everything back together but it hasn’t corrected yet. Do I need to drive it more for it to reset or do I need to do a reset? PLEASE HELP!

I just installed a touch climate control from a 7 series in my G30. The display shows ventilated and heated seats while my car only has heated ones. I'm hoping it either eventually switches off or perhaps there's a way to code it out. It's not the end of the world but people should beware if seeing cooled seats on their display will bother them.

Let the car completely turn off. Sometimes it'll require overnight. It'll go away on it own. Many reported this and all have gone to normal ✅️
