its just a logo, the engine is developed & manufactured by TVs under BMW licencing with BMW parts hence RR310 gets same engine & trans except ECU & rear sprocket are modified by TV's for RR310 for race specs. the price reduction was made due to stiff competition and another reason since its TV's manufacturing in their plant not an issue. will BMW reduce price of big siblings ???? its No way

Trust me go with mind. After 1 year if u read this comment again u will thank me for sure. I'm a 2019 g310r owner btw. The service bill and spares cost is literally burning hole in my pockets. I had a 600i previously. That was much much cheaper to maintain. 7250 per service without spares or any replacements is wayyyy high. Ninja 800 territory

@@vinodhkumar2402 but there is a expensive service option which you can use if you are rich. You can call BMW customer service and they can send a team and pick your motorcycle for servicing. This will be useful if you are going for long trips and your bike breaks down in a remote area.

@@shashank8158 KTM has high compression engine which will give you better performance but as the compression ratio is higher so the stress to the engine components will be high and the reliability will be less.. You know that it will heat a lot in city.. Service interval is better in Bmw though.

I'll choose bmw g310r anyday. Because i don't want an agressive engine like the Duke 390, i prefer linear power much more. Also the seating height is lower on bmw which helps me as im 5"7. Seating is also softer and more comfortable than duke. And lastly Duke is common on roads because of its 125,200,250cc variants where as the bmw is uncommon and the bmw badge is much more valuable.

Im a tourer guy so I will Always choose BMW for better comfort, reliable engine, comfort for pillion enough power as Indian roads are so trashy full of potholes I can barely hit 130s , lighter bike and better handling in traffic and mainly The BMW logo! Considering power, money and usability I would choose BMW for daily commute and long rides. 34 Hp and 28 nm torque still can take you anywhere in throughout India. However Duke 390 is hooligan in terms of power and don’t think daily usability is good idea on KTM compared to BMW. My choice would be 310r over 390.

What Indian reviewers never tell the audience coz they are duke fans : Bmw needs service at 10k kms for Rs4200+Taxes KTM needs service every 4500-5000kms for Rs 3500 + each. For 10k kms = you need 5k to run the BMW You needs approx 8k to run the Duke 390. A truth that no KZbinr actually tells you. There are multiple wrong specs provided in this specs read out video as well.

Thanks for the review, as u r always good at. As far as looks are concerned BMW is giving stiff competition to Duke, it's mind blowing. Duke engine is a high revving engine and BMW is better to commute for daily commuters. For city riding BMW is better choice but the main concern is the maintenance cost as we all knew BMW is going to be on higher side. It's all about preferences. Both are equally appealing and performance oriented bikes.

Bhai there is one major point missed i think. The Engine setup in BMW is that the cylinder head has been rotated 180 degrees backwards, which pushes the vehicle’s centre of gravity towards the front wheel. So the flickablity and agility of BMW is unmatched especially in city. If u physically see the silencer starts and runs from the middle of the body unlike other bikes which runs thru the side of the body. Basically a reverse inclined engine. So the air intake would be better than other engines resulting in better combustion also.

Both of these bikes are really good. They are both high quality. It's really a matter of taste. I am a KTM fan. So, I'd choose the KTM. I have ridden the 1290 Duke and the 690 way, way back in 2015. They both rode like Mercedes Benz's. The felt so much better than my R6 I rode to the KTM Ride Event.

Dear sir, the BMW costs upwards of 6 to 7k from the first service onwards. The dealer network also is very less. I don't know if anyone else felt it but a normal FZ feels like it has better room for the rider than the G310 R. Im only 5'6" but I felt like I was doing a half squat sitting on the BMW. Also, rather arrogant sales reps where I live. If at all anybody is looking at the Beemers for the snob value, I'll strongly suggest to test the G310 GS. It is a much much better all arounder in almost every aspect in my opinion. The G310 R just feels like a premium commuter in comparison.
