Just did my 2022 a few weeks ago. I did mine on jackstands. It was a pain in the ask, but just keep plugging away at it, and you’ll get it done. I didn’t have the double sticky tape on mine. Not sure if it was a new update for the 2022, but I kept looking at the video and looking at my bumper, and nothing.

I know I'm late to the party and that you've moved on to the M5 but I was wondering how difficult was it to line up the bumper afterwards and get your gaps right? Did you have to mess around adjusting angles or was fitment spot on once tightened up all the screws and whatnot?

Wassup brotha, how hard is it to push the bottom of the bumper together, I got my car on a lift now but its not popping into place. Im an inch away from lining up the bolts and its strong

It should fit without too much force… if you got to apply a lot of force something is not in the correct place

I don’t think so unless during the installation someone messes something up. They have to prove the modification caused the warranty issue to deny it

I k ow this is late but a friend has a set he ordered and is selling them to me. He did not like the way they had a gap in the corner. I saw you mentioned this also buy at the end it looked as if you fixed the gap. Did you have to finagle it to reduce the gap in corner?

Yeah… I adjusted it behind the bumper, and pushed really hard. It is a tough fitment.

I've been waiting for someone to do this install and purchase aftermarket parts versus OEM (which are way overpriced). Great effort extended to get the job done, James. I was so inspired I just spent £1,244.49 ($1,700.97) to get my front carbon air inlets and a carbon rear diffuser with the carbon surround which should go perfect with my Remus exhaust when it comes in. How many weeks should it take, and I will definitely have the parts professionally installed here in Raleigh. Thanks for the seven percent discount!

Thank man! I went with the shadowline trim delete, so the rear spoiler and side mirrors are color matched… which I prefer over carbon. Will definitely get these carbon air ducts in carbon and probably the rear diffuser.

You can but once you take off the mesh there are parts behind that are a little exposed and not all black. I don’t think it would look right in my opinion

Great video thanks very much. How long for the bumper removal and then attachment? Could you mount something to the vanes of the grill and run the wire up and to the right(Drivers side) with out removing the whole bumper?

Now that I have done it, I could do it in around an hour or so. I think it would be difficult to do so without moving the bumper

Do you justify the price BMW charges for the M carbon exterior package? I know it also includes the mirror caps, rear diffuser and rear spoiler.

I don’t as the aftermarket options will be cheaper depending on labor if you don’t install yourself. If you pay for labor plus parts then the carbon pack is a good deal to save time

The carbon looks good on the car. I would be concerned about the underside radiator get a hole in it. I've heard on the f80M3 that they has cooler in same place. Thats crazy how you already have bent fans and I'm sure you don't have many miles on it.
