Such a beautiful car. I am not fan of electric cars, but BMW i3 stole my heart and I am seriously considering to get it as an addition to my 911 Carrera 4S. I like every single detail in this car. Only my 991.2 has everything perfect and this i3.

Interesting video on how the I3 is built. I have a lease return 2014 rex that I bought... For significantly less than original cost. I do about 80 miles a day round trip and sometimes a couple of side trips might bring me around 110 miles and my i3 can handle that no problem. The rex is a must....fun to drive, not for everyone.

I agree! Great, fun little car, but really let down by the short EV range, I think I can get about 60-70 miles out of mine before needing the REx or a recharge.

It is the job of INDUSTRIAL ENGINEERS to design, specify equipment for and set up these assembly lines. Check out the course work required for that degree at U Michigan, U Cal Berkeley or some other schools to get an idea of what you might be in for if you want to be an industrial engineer. Best of luck. Chase your dreams. They won't/don't stand still.

@@silveriorebelo2920 All copied from German excellence. The world's largest car factory is VW Wolfsburg Germany they shipped 704,000 vehicles in 2018 !! They even have their own sausage plant, in the factory, VW part number!!! Massive...2000 trucks a day bring stuff in, 180 triple decked Trains take finished products, to ship around the world, that's just 1 of over 120 VW sites around the world, Biggest in North America too, in Puebla Mexico VW knows how to run massive factorys
Klasse Videoproduktion, saubere Aufnahmen, gut geschnitten und keine Musik. Toll! Erfrischend! Augenwischerei!!

@@ronnieg6358 if you looked into it a little deeper you'd realize much of it was foreign becuase the i3 is composed of a fair amount of composite parts rather than stamped metal framing. Also, the electric motors production is of course non standard but it's not like we haven't been producing them for 150+ years. Batteries and electric motors are key parts of any car, electric or not. Nothing seen here is too extraordinary save for the massive robotic Integration.

Its all just pioneering but the production is pretty smart. Remember using carbon was just inaccessible and now? Full on production. I like how they use a press instead of layering/wrapping technique. You can tell its from German geniuses. Pressing is their traditional production technique from a long times ago. It was them who came up with this technique and its really cool how they adapt it for new materials. Really nice even they are building this funny car. Only thing i have to argue are the battery cells. Box, inside the box, inside the box. Bit over engineered.
