Recntly as a second EV we bought the i3s - I love this little car specially the turning circle.

It's a great town/city car, and not bad on the Motorway 👍

Love em in red and black.
@MrDesmonickАй бұрын
I think the red/black were the last of the S models?

u should press that little butten on the right side of screnn for 5 seconds ... and then enter the last 5 digets of the "fahrgestellnummer" as "ergebniss der Quersumme" .. so u could kill off the torquerestriction till 15mph.... should be fun with full torque from 0

I'll take a look, thanks! 👍

Great review of your ownership so far. I currently drive a hybrid and not ready to go full EV, but always liked the i3 and have considered the range extender. I agree the design was way ahead of it's time and probably wouldn't date any time soon

Thanks! For my mileage the BEV is perfect, without the added maintenance of an ICE 'generator'.

Been driving my i3 for 6 years this month. I still love it. It is hard on tires though so beware.
@MrDesmonick26 күн бұрын
@@300rivers4 yes, expecting tyres on a regular basis. But they're not as expensive as the one's for my 911!

We have an i3 for short trips around town, mostly school drop offs. Summer range is about 370km, winter range only 105km. Full charge at home costs 1-2$ depending on hour of the day and demand. It is a great second or third car.

That's a big range difference! Yes, a great little car 👍

Great vid. Can that yoke take a roof rack for bikes, canoes etc.
@MrDesmonickАй бұрын
I have seen a roof rack on one, but I'm not sure how it's fitted. I don't think BMW do one?

So drivers slow down for runners because they're running in the middle of the road. Seems effective to me.
@MrDesmonickАй бұрын
As long as they see them in time it's fine! I personally wouldn't run in the middle of a main road though!
@dylanwhite6539Ай бұрын
that shit would be a death sentence in the states. You’d get the cops called on you within 5 minutes
@MrDesmonickАй бұрын
Which part? Running in the middle of the road?
@dylanwhite6539Ай бұрын
@@MrDesmonick yes running in the middle of the road. That NEVER happens in the states.

I don't do huge miles, sonI charge off the granny charger on a properly installed EV rated plug/wiring.

7.5p / kWh ?!?!?! whre do you live mate ? I pay 30.6 / kWh in essex :(
@MrDesmonickАй бұрын
That's my overnight rate at home with Octopus Intelligent Go 👍 I think my day rate is about 27p?
@tommybronze3451Ай бұрын
@@MrDesmonick never heard of of is, but after scraping the octopus website - it’s a valid tariff. QUICK delete the post before to many people will jump on the wagon and octopus pulls the offer out of the market
@MrDesmonickАй бұрын
It's their standard EV charging tariff! Make sure if you use a 'proper' charger, it's compatible with their system 😉
@tommybronze3451Ай бұрын
@@MrDesmonick it looks like “their charger” can charge the car at any time, but the 7.5p is only for other things at late night hours - can you confirm ?
@MrDesmonickАй бұрын
I let it do its own thing. It charges my car overnight at the cheap rate. I get home, plug it in, and forget about it!
