The i4 shares the body with the petrol and diesel variants, so also has the transmission tunnel. The good thing is that they managed to turn a regular ice car into an EV and still get 300 miles range in the edrive 40, and be almost as efficient as the model 3. (Bjorn Nyland 1000km test)

Considering the weight difference it's really impressive. in 2025 the new bodies gonna be realeased so I guess the performances and efficiency will improve massively

@@StarryTemplar But the ventilated seats, Android auto/car play, head up display, the incredibly high noise isolation, the awesome looking ambient light and the driving dynamics are making up for that in my opinion.

Nice video, thanks. Side bolsters are adjustable in the Sport and M-Sport seats. You just happened to pick perforated seats, which come without it.

22:38 Most likely because you weren't pushing the M50 at all. The AWD kicks in on demand, otherwise the M50 will cruise in RWD to save energy. Also makes the E40 an attractive alternative if you don't need the additional traction or extra 200 hp of the M50 because the E40 doesn't have the extra 300 pounds up front (which is more or less dead weight when trying to cruise for maximum range). Something I have no idea about is whether or not the M50 will even engage AWD while in Eco Pro mode. I have just the E40, but I would assume putting the car in Eco Pro will limit the horsepower, and what better way to hold back the M50' power consumption than to rein in the front motor?

They key works fine to close the trunk when you hold it down.

Main point: i4 is missing cornering cameras. Should be added. Isn't weight difference v Tesla mainly in the chassis?

Yes. The i4 is heavier because it was built that way... 24:33 ...which is to say, built to last. Every detractor of the BMW EVs say they are a 'compromised' design derived from traditional chassis when in fact the bespoke Tesla 3 is the one that was physically compromised for the sake of weight saving.

I had an i4 M50. It needs a much better range and the ability to use NASC; then BNW is allowed to use Tesla's network I'll buy another one.

Don't let the four doors fool you: It's a coupe with 2+2 seating. Folks should know that going in so they don't get disappointed by the rear seating space.

This motor requires more maintenance in the long run do not buy. BMW has these brushes that will require “maintenance” BMW is all about the post car repairs and maintenance they are unreliable. I do not trust this at all. Be cautious. In the end it’s your money.

It's to avoid having little kids toiling hard in the magnet mines for the rotors. Tesla is trying to find ways to reduce the amount of neodymium in their rotors because of the cost.
