Thank you for your video. My iDrive switch Works in all directions but not the push down/select movement. I have done as you instructed in your video and I am in the same situation, wondering if you have another suggestion or if its time I buy the replacement part? I suppose the push down works with that part you show with the spring, should I try replacing that first and what is that part called .

What was the liquid you used with the tooth brush after soldering and why did you use it
@TechTronic90002 жыл бұрын
That is isopropyl alcohol, it's used to clean the flux from the circuit board as that can become corrosive as time passes.

Hi on the e92 yeah you just pull it and comes of. Start from the gear selector first
@orhandurmus18695 жыл бұрын
Thanks guys. Took a bit of force but once one clip released, the rest popped off easily. As for the Idrive itself, that was straight forward using a fine tipped soldering gun. Took a couple of mins, no more. End result is my idrive select is working again

I have an issue. The external port for an ipod seems locked on the screen and I cannot get the radio or CD player to switch on. When I soldered only three points got soldered as the last on did not take and just melts the circuit board so had to leave one point without solder . All works fine on the screen but only get the external ipod point to get music from the plug in point . Seems locked on that.. any suggestions, probably need a new circuit board as everything else is good. Where can I get a circuit board from , have looked on ebay nothing .

+Raj Hardo OK, it will probably top the oil level with 20-25 ml to be on the safe side, just mention to them the oil type as it's very important. Some A/C shops use "universal" 100 oil instead of 46 or 150, this will damage the compressor.

@TechTronic90008 жыл бұрын
+Raj Hardo 46 oil is low viscosity, take care when you refill the installation to use this exact specification. If you use 100 or 150 oil it will damage the compressor. Do you have a leak or blown hose ?
@hardo588 жыл бұрын
No i have not a blown hose and there is gas in the system ,of you push the valve ,gas escapes,i think its low in gas, Car was not used ,3 years.
