Chris, I never thought I’d say this but I WANT THIS CAR

The GOM is adjusted according to your navigation. In your case the range is calculated by highway speed to the destination.
@BatteryLife3 жыл бұрын
thanks. I would prefer if it would take the consumption I had in the last 10km for the GOM. Not something it thinks I am doing.
@outdoorolli57543 жыл бұрын
@@BatteryLife, well obviously you WILL go slower, if you doubt about making it to the next charging point. And: Even if range is 0 you will be able to travel another about another 20 kms.

Hi Chris, the range forecast was already very unsatisfactory in the i3, as BMW always takes 130km/h into account as the recommended motorway speed in the range forecast. So if someone drives less than 130km/h on the BAB, the BMW shows too little range. Actual consumption is taken into account in the app.
@BatteryLife3 жыл бұрын
Thanks. That is not good though.

NAF in Norway (the same like ADAC in Deutschland) They test the same car in normal Norwegian roadtrip. They use 13.3 KWh at 100 Km at summer. Nearly the same that i use in my BMW i3 120ah. Impressive!!!! They also drive the same car from 100% to 0%. 556,2 Km At winther test. 17,0 KWh at 100 Km. 100% to 0% = 432Km Ok my friends in Deutschland, again you made a fantastic car!! :)

But at what speed?
@MrFabianschmidt3 жыл бұрын
@@HelloMyFriend_ Unfortunately, the test does not show a map. But Norwegian country roads have a normal speed of 80 Km/h. It was also good summer weather on this test. So I would assume that the average speed must have been around 70 Km/h. I send you a link under here to NAF motor web site. Maybe you can translate at Google to your language?! motor.no/elbil/motors-rekkeviddetest-av-elbiler-sommer-2021-direkte/199348

HUD is very nice, graphs are good. The GOM is so random I could never trust it. Estimated range is very important so BMW needs to fix soon! That’s quite the insult to say that the Fiat 500 is more important! I understand what you mean, but still kinda rough to put that in the first minute of the BMW video.
@ricardograde51343 жыл бұрын
Yes, BMW is a mess calculating range. I just know the medium consumption, dividid by battery size and it’s spot on. How it’s possible BMW can’t calculate this???? RIDICULOUS… Beside that, great review… 👍 as usually.

I've had the car a year, its developed a charging fault that BMW appear not in the least interested in. The customer service is absolutely awful and the range is so poor. At this point in time, I'm 50% charged and I have about 80 miles range. Really disappointed, I wish I'd gone for the Kia iqoniq
