BMW K75 K100 - Greasing Driveshaft Splines using Bike Tool Kit

Quite a long video on how to remove the driveshaft to grease the splines on a 1987 BMW K75 using only the tools that come with the bike. Simple tips to make it easy and less frequent. Using the right Castrol Molub-Alloy Paste White T you can get 60,000 miles between services. The job is seen as an essential process to preserve the drive train and only needs to take an hour or two.

Hi. It’s a good idea to pull the gearbox and grease the clutch splines,too. For smoother changing down from 5th to 1st. THATS a full spline lube job. You are just doing the finel drive and prop splines. Just sayin’….👍🏾🛠😉

great job ! I was just wondering if you had any plans to do a how to on repairing the electronic speedo and tacho ? I have about six of the chips of ebay and intend to try new - for - old replacement after replacing just the electrolytic caps failed. For now , my K75 has a cheapo LED GPS car speedo grafted into a spare instrument panel - obviously with the GPS lag and under reading issues. I also have a GPS analog one ready to go in , if I can not resolve this. Ride Happy !

At the moment there are so many cafe racers splitting the bikes you are probably best off trying to buy a secondhand one for cheap. Don't bother with ebay but try the K Bikes Modified forums and Facebook page. If you want a guaranteed one or parts try Motorworks.

@@johnnysevengun Thanks for this reply - I will try for motoworks and see what they are charging. The actual chip I Heard turns up in car tachos and speedos and old style taxi meters . Ride Good !
