Thanks for the great review i want one but as a 64 year old R1250rs owner, think my knees wouldn’t like the riding position 😊

Hi Chris, thanks for viewing and taking the time to comment. Glad you liked the video. While I was on the bike, I didn’t think it was uncomfortable, but then I got on a GS afterwards. let’s just say it was like getting onto a comfortable sofa after sitting on a wooden chair😁… don’t get me wrong, by Sports bike standards it’s a very comfortable bike… but not as comfortable as a GS or your R1250 R for sure. I would recommend you at least take one for a spin though as it’s a wonderful bike… you just need to try and not lose your license though as it’s so easy to go very very very quick! All the best and when you are out next… Ride Safe.

I have a GSA and have about 1100 miles on my MXR now. Definitely not as comfortable as my GS, but compared to my old HP4, Its really comfortable. That being said. 2nd time i rode it, i easily did a 500 mile ride on it. Also i bought all the stuff for a s1000XR so i can run the hard bags. Its all very simple.

Hi Marshall, Thansk very much for viewing and for sharing your experience. I definitely can see that this bike will open up the possibility for anyone wanting a super sport who cannot deal with sitting in a sporty position. Thanks for advising on the hard cases also. You own two amazing bikes so I am very jealous! I absolutely loved my time with the MXR. All the best and when your out next Ride Safe.

This or a Ducati Multi Pikes Peak??? I'm guessing the PP would be the easiest option if you wanted to tour and carry luggage.

Hi Martin, I have never been on any Ducati due to the snobbery of the local dealer (shame!) but I agree based on the looks of the bike on the website! Thanks for watching and for taking the time to comment. All the best and ride safe!

But why tho?

Hi Bob, I can only assume you are asking why on the title of the video? I’ll be honest and say I don’t ride many sports bikes so in total honesty I would not know enough to begin saying if this was the best sports bike ever. It was more about having a catchy title to get people to click. That said it must be there as the most comfortable and multi dimensional sports bike out there as it is giving access to sports bike riding to more than only people who can sit in that sporty ride position which does inevitably end in aching wrists, knees and back for taller, less supple riders!

@@TheWrittleRider thanks for the reply. My question was more one of bewilderment at the whole... sticking that much hp in a tall touring bike, but your video (& reply) explain it very nicely. I've been away from proper biking so long, that bike is maybe a bit beyond my comprehension, a series of slightly insane concepts, if you like. I think I might be a bit of a "less is more" type of bloke. Maybe one day I'll ride one and I might actually get it. 😄 Loved the video though, & thanks again for taking the time to reply. 👍

@@bobritter7197 I ride a V4 Tuono Factory and am buying the M1000XR simply for the close performance of the Aprilia and the comfort to ride in Europe, feels much lighter than the Ducati Multi RS and appealed to me and many other 50yr plus guys that want the superbike performance feel and just need a little more comfort :)
