M140i is the best hatchback in the market now in my opinion. 3L straight six is just simply awesome. sad they are gonna replace it with a FWD.... thinking of buying one second hand here in Germany.

I really appreciate when a POV vid has little bit of everything: normal driving, medium acceleration and full throttle. In the end that's how one drives a car on the road - you just don't floor it and hit the redline all the time. This video gives a really nice impression of actually driving the car. Keep it up guys!

Thanks for M140i. Do you see much (if any) difference between M140 and M240? I heard there was a suspension difference clearly felt between M135 and M235 but now the new versions feel the same.

I had to come look at this video today because I went through some traffic lights and it turned green as I was still doing 30mph one of these was at the lights in the other lane stationary so I had a huge rolling jump on him, with in seconds he blew past me like I was stood still. For a split second looking at the 140D badge I thought, "no way is that a 1.4" then I realised my Golf GTI just got embarrassed.

I bought one of these just recently and got a chance to put my foot down in it for the first time on a national speed limit road the other day. It absolutely scared the crap out of me and my hands were literally shaking when I slowed down! Just when you think it must be about to run out of steam, it just keeps pulling! I would not have the guts to drive mine like this guy - not yet anyway! It’s pulling power is ferocious. Don’t be embarrassed in your GTI though. I’m pretty sure a lot of people and reviews say the GTI has a lot more usable power and handles better and is a really enjoyable car to drive because of that! 😊

you are just allowed to overtake, if you don't force anyone on the faster lane to break. if he wants to overtake a truck with 160km/h he could easily stay a few seconds longer on the right lane.. even without breaking.. there was still much space behind the truck thanks to AutoTopNLs' anticipatory driving, it was not as dangerous as it could have been ..lift the gas for like 3 sec = 80km/h less?.. you must be joking that are these driver I'm talking about, who think they are alone in the world.. not me I don't obstruct anyone

its easier to accelerate from 140 to 160km/h than brake from 240km/h to 160km/h also the bmw driver was in fastest lane so for me the slower guy had to wait.

Way too digital answer. Give analog. Also fuel consumption is measured in "how much is needed to travel some distace". Some distance is 100km. And how much is a value in liters. SO like 10 l/100km. You can't measure consumption in "how many kilometers you can travel on one unit of something". If you need to measure consumtion while stationary you switch from 100km to hour. So for example 1 l/h.

this is a petrol 3l 340hp so must be something between 20l and 25l/100km at max speed 8 gear full throttle , with cruise control at max speed maybe 15l/100km

propably something around 270 280 kmh you can remove speed limiter in bmw factory for extra price or with little help from mechanic or tuner but i dont think this is nessesary due to big fuel consumption and i dont think that the stock (not the m tyres designed for big speeds) can stand g force generated at 280kmh for longer than a few minutes
