Turns out this might be the last awesome four door driving machine from BMW. Probably not even the next M3 will be available with RWD and a manual. I suspected this and got myself a blue manual M140i in 2017. I stayed away from anything digital or that adds weight. Just got leather seats because kids.

The new m3 will have manual as option. It will have xdrive but you can choose like in m5 that you will run only rwd.

M3 pure wil be rwd only and manual no front axle or drive to the front

@@p1fly As it turns out don't be too sure because in Australia BMW labeled stupid X3Ms with "pure" which meant a cheaper version with fewer extras. BMW is already misusing the label and waters it down. Also there is still no confirmatiin for the four door M3 to be rwd manual. They still may decide to just offer the M4 this way. Besides all we know for now the upcoming M3 will have an unbelieveably heinous beaver face design. What an atrocity.

Great stuff! I think I can hear it, but did this car also have some issues when upshifting at higher rpms? Revs seem to 'hang' for a little while after you've lifted the throttle

Yes, the ECU do this in some BMW models with MT. I don't know why.

@@Dennisnoten that’s you gearbox Golf GTi’s in mt have the same issues pres at that time that it keeps hanging in revs your clutch and if it doesn’t drop immediately then you know its your clutch that has to be reinforced
