Put a racing suit on, helmet, gloves and race a go kart for a day... you come out smelling and dripping of sweat and petrol... thats a TRUE motoring experience... then to get this experience on the road you'd buy a lotus exiges or a caterham kit car...

Not saying the M2 CS would see off a stamped RSQ8 in a straight line, it has 200 fewer bhp and not a brilliant drag coefficient. But round every other track in the world? Even the older M2C could beat the identical Urus around Laguna Seca; the CS will hold the Q8 down and give it a good spanking.

I live and work on the road doing consulting gigs and I drive the OG M2 with DCT. It's perfect. The car has enough room for my clothes and stuff. The interior is nicer than non-owners are reporting and overall performance is good. This is a fun car.

I had two M2C; had the chance to get the CS but after having a look at the dealer I gave it up. In Germany it's GT4 money but it definitely isn't as special or raw as the GT4. Get the M2C and save yourself 45k in Germany. It's actually not that special. High sitting position means you feel like you are in a normal 1 series. Engine too quiet from within the cabin compared to for example 718. Handling--well it might be the best handling bmw for sale today but it's definitely too heavy and high. You can't defy physics. For the same money definitely get the GT4.

Agree with everything you said. Ordered my Misano Blue/Gold Wheels/Carbon Ceramics/6MT to replace my DCT M2 Comp. Delivery should be in Dec (I am in the US). I do believe that this is the last real analog(ish) BMW.

I went M2 Competition from a Porsche C4S. The little monster is miles funner/thrilling and just a beast. The M2C is all about its handling balance as it’s as perfect as I have ever owned and I have owned a lot of 911’s. It’s seriously faster than it’s reported “specs” from BMW which would indicate BMW is sandbagging how much power this engine is really putting out in the M2C.

Really nice, but the improvements over the M2C come at quite a premium, considering you can flash the tune from the M2 CS into an M2C and have the same horsepower. It has been debunked that there are differences in the cooling system. There are no cooling system changes in the M2 CS, other than the vented hood. I think when the warranty is up on my M2C I will get the M2 CS or perhaps the M4 GTS tune.

I saw the Audi SUV keep away up front for a while, and when it eventually was caught and merged over the rims gave away that it was an RSQ8. That Audi isn’t slow and the M2 CS caught it like it wasn’t moving.

I'm watching this with tears in my eyes (not literaly :) I got my M2 Competition 2 days ago and it's really fun! I thought about getting a CS but man, 35.000 EUR more compared to a M2 Competition? So I decided to get the "Normal" M2 and driving it almost every day instead of this fine car and let it stay in the garage and selling it in 15 Years for more than I paid. And I have even more tears in my eyes because I gave away my fantastic M140i (I really loved this car) for the M2.

Complains about a lack of sound. Stock 2015-2021 Subaru STI says hi. (Owner of a 2018 STI Type RA) Took 20k miles for the exhaust to break in enough to become audible. Imagine buying a car known for its exhaust noise only for the noise to be borderline silent.
