A couple guys on the bimmerforum got a CEL but AA ended up replacing their DP's and I believe it had something to do with the cat itself not being manufactured properly... like the cells were not wrapped right and there were some larger than normal gaps in the cell structure.

So I have this exact car, down to the color lol. I asked them at BMW last time I was there and they said it does not. It only will if anything they can tie back to the install and part change leads to some sort of failure.

@@worrell3831this is amazing news!! Looking at a M240i but was scared getting more sound out of it would void warranty. My 2016 340i was easy to get a little extra noise by just cutting out the two resonators
