My friend took me round the ring with his CSL in 2015, we did 10 laps(He did a lot more by himself)in 2 trackdays. I took my car(325Ci sport auto) on touristenfahrten. Every petrolhead should go, but don't expect to break any records, just enjoy your car round the most infamous race track in the world, it really IS worth it.

Idiots on here saying that it's not a CSL don't the the difference between a standard M3 and a CSL. For starters, the door panels are carbon fibre with basic thinner door handles and the air con console is a basic setup, not the standard digital one.

No airco. You don't need AC in that kind of car. Its a near oldschool racecar. Racecars don't have AC. Thats an additional 25 kgs.

It's a SMG, the only type of gearbox that was fitted in the CSL.

No, upgraded, but NS isnt that bad on rhe brakes. Using Ferodo DS2500 pads, good for road and track.

Depends on the driver. First time on that track I would go slow AF, because I don't want to have bad experience.

I run that car for about 14 years now. It's the best all round car you can have. I didn't crash it. And sometimes when it looks slow, it can be damn fast (did you hear tose tires squeling). You have to do it smooth. That means your car doesn't have to jump around to be fast, handle it with precision, that makes it fast. The less you have to steer the faster you are. Would like to meet you on track and make my point clear, you can understand it too.

I'm guessing it's an 'ordinary' M3, fitted with the CSL airbox and straight-through exhaust. Sounds bee-YOO-tiful.

Looking at the thumbnail it also has the CSL front bumper. It also looks like it has the carbon fibre roof which would prove it would be the real thing.

It's not ordinary. The gear lever is different and the driver clearly shifts with paddles. Also doesn't seem to have the standard climate controls of the ordinary M3 and it doesn't seem to have glove box as well. I might be mistaken for that one, though.

Well guys, it is a CSL. The sound comes from the carbon airbox (induction sound), in combination with a race cat and Eisenmann exhaust. The sound is addictive

Yes it is, its also lighter, with maybe more power, would be a shame otherwise. That Lotus is also a fantastic car. And it was a potent driver.

On a cold april morning, starting with cold tires, a first lap that day, driving a BTG of about 8.30 in TF (is there oil somewhere...??, wet places...) doesn't seem that bad to me. Would like to meet you on track to make my point clear. Do you have a car also? With horsepower? The car is still in my garage by the way, not crashed.

I’ve had M3’s e36, e46 and f80 and the e46 was the worst. Not enough torque for as heavy as it was, have to rev the shit out of it, and mediocre handling with understeer even with track suspension and tires.

Heavy ?? 1385 kg. Seams rather light to me for an M3. Looks like your E46M3 wasn't that crispy if you think it was a bad car.
