My favourite sound for this car is NFS Carbon's version. It's kinda hard to explain but transmission's whine sound is better in Carbon for me. The original sound from MW is on the second place in my list. I also like the Early sound from the demo but I think it sounds better with SLR Mclaren. This sound is really brutal. It's crime that this sound is unused in final version of the game!

Actually,this engine is suitable for this vehicle (just as the starter version of the GTR since as you know,there is 2 separate versions of that vehicle which is least modified parts to heavily modified parts (least is for the beginning and the heavily one should use the NFS carbon sound which suits it really well)

I wish there was a mod that makes sounds get louder with rmp. Main problem is how volume is the same across the whole rpm band, and now oddly sounds are compacted to higher rpm range parts, so cars sound at 5k rpm as they should at like 2-3k rpm, and its all universally quiet when it should get increasingly louder. In real life its a gigantic difference from low-rpm to redline. between 60 and 96dB, tuned cars go even further if straightpiped(or racecars like M3 or C6.R) to 110dB, and its a gigantic difference. I dont say it should blow people's eardrums like in real life but it should reflect that difference in the game.

@@klodinkediloni762 Grid 1,2, Autosport; Dirt 3 etc and Dirt rally games do that well. Project cars mightbalso be quite good but i didnt play it myself. NFS Most Wanted 2012 alsonhas incredibly good engine sounds and way cars clutch/sound during gear changes, especially LFA.(it also has the best tunnel sound effect i heard in a game). It sadly went downhill in NFS2015. They ruined how these sounds were ppayed completely in that game and it barely improved since then.

KingSlayer nailed it, just that from the outside you don't hear the gearbox as the noise made is all in the cockpit due to the echo effect by being empty, but obv in a game where you are forced to drive 3rd person is a really amazing job

They cant remake Most Wanted. BlackBox is no more and EA doesnt have the rights anymore, re-acquiring the rights would cost them alot of money and possibly wouldnt even profit from the game anymore considering its the most succesful game in the series, the car brands, soundtracks,actors ... and such would ask for alot of money just to agree on being included in the game. So i doubt this game would ever get a non fan remake.

When i played this in 2020 I liked the game and then i used mods and it made me more happy but when Mw panel came to my head I dowloaded it and got the bmw m3 gtr And when i saw the body of the bmw m3 gtr and heard the bmw m3 gtr sound I was like This is my favorite car in the world. I kinda wish they did a combination of E3 and the original. The original sounds awsome but the whine kinda gets annoying. Especially in Carbon where they made it louder. I wanna hear a beauty beastly engine roar with that almost demonic whine. But I love the E3, Original, and the NFS HEAT

There's also one more sound with the string name bmw_m3gtr_lm. I think that one is more accurate (sound from the cabin I think?), has a higher pitch (makes sense given the high rev engine), and combined it with Carbon's gear whine, it will be 1:1 with the real-life sound.

@@Drip_King yep it's a mod, I don't quite remember which one it is but I think Pepega Mod uses it, but I need to change the deceleration GIN to tvr_cerb/or the ABK (on Pepega Mod version) because it has the rumble V8 sound of a cross-plane muscle engine. I also used the sound on ReTouch/Redux versions

The E3 sound of the car (0:10) is actually recorded from TVR Cerbera because they couldn’t record the real sound of the car at that time due to some racing conditions. It was thought that it has a slight similarity in sound to the BMW M3 GTR.
