@@Nick-rd7ks Well, it's polite to go to the left lane to let others merge with traffic. But it is not mandatory tho. So he actually did nothing wrong there. Merging, by Dutch law, is considered a special maneuver and you have to give way to drivers already on the highway. The "normal" thing to do is let that van pass and then overtake it... And that last part you said? They teach this stuff when you get your license. You obviously haven't been paying attention xD I also believe the same rules apply in Germany.

At which point did people forget that M is suposed to be sporty, stiff and hard? If you want comfort, buy an 7 series and dont expect an M car to be comfy, when its suposed to be fast and exciting.

As someone who's owned the regular F90 M5 for about 5 months now, I can tell you that the suspension is pretty damn rough even in comfort. It can get annoying on long road trips. I can only imagine how this comp one is. The point is that yes they should be fast exciting and whatnot but at the same time capable of some decent comfort levels as a touring car. The M5s and above are not exactly your track favorite cars so there's no need imo for crazy levels of stiffness and whatnot. It's not like you're going to be running around country roads for fun all the time either with such a car. So on this specific point I completely disagree with Max. Either way it's an absolute amazing car and I love it! Just wanted to share some real life long term experience with it.

@@TrancezoOr oh damn lucky you. Thats probably my favourite modern car! But like i said you can buy a 7 series if you want luxury and comfort. I dont mind that an M car is stiff, at the end of the day thats what M stands for. Performance and a fun driving experience. But i can also understand where you are coming from, its and autobahn cruiser and it could be a bit more comfortable. Honestly, you cant please anyone. If they would have made it more comfy people would complain and they complain now that its stiff. Its all about personal preference

@@realtywithseankemp9704 its a luxury sports car... The idea behind such a car is luxury through the week and race tracks on the weekends. It has 625hp and supercar levels of performance, its not that hard to understand that it might be a harsh ride. BMW wanted it to be sporty and they did that with stiffer suspension - better cornering and stability. Like i said i understand why it might be too hard for most people, but those people are not the target of BMW i guess.

@10:00 fully agree, pre-LCI comp is fine as a daily imo. I drive mine on UK roads (motorway, b roads etc) and it’s great. Way more comfortable than my (much loved) M4 CP ever was. If you need more comfort than this then I doubt “M” is for you in the first place - I don’t say that critically, just that this car feels great (especially with ventilated and massage seats) so it’s not even a compromise. But the stiffness contributes to the precise feel which is always what I valued in an M over a non-M.

How typical for an S-class driver to assume that they own the road. But on the other hand he may have also assumed that you're driving a regular 5er and not the M5 with more than enough power to easily rocket past him.
