its always about sales ... the time of the e60/e90 was the time of the biggest bmw engines... the one and only m3 with a v8... m5 and m6 with a v10... nowdays its all about downsizing and we're going to see hybrid ///M cars in the future ... but thats how the future of all cars look like ... its pretty sad but you cant judge BMW for that ... and you cant complain about BMW's latest cars... the new M5 is an absolute beast ... and the M2 is an absolutely beautiful machine... some people say its the new e46... they're two of the most awesome cars of our current time ...

royal vlogger Rod bearings Throttle actuators SMG hydraulic pump failure Motor mounts (premature bushing failures) VANOS pressure hose/line leakages ECU DME issues That's BEFORE the usual issues associated with +10 year old BMWs... lol From my calculations, it's not a cheap car. You buy the baseline vehicle then do all the works (provided it's a good example) - make sure to buy LCi model. And then you'll have a car ready for use. Probably looking at double what you pay for normal usage, but to do it truly properly - be prepared to pay up to x3 more. So if the base car is $25k in us, then you'll have to budget (incl. the car) at least around $50k if you want it to be all good. $75k to $100k isn't unheard of, but you'll have the perfect e60 m5. Idk what people are saying when they say it's a cheap car lol. I think the market fairly reflects its value adequately. Lol.

Best car? Sure if you count rod bearings and the Vanos pump grenading the engine then sure best car. If you have to thousands needed to keep the car running then sure its an okay car. The transmission is still horribly aggressive and for a “luxury” car, you’d want smoother shifts.

Friend of mine had an m5 e60. What can I say, the best M car ever produced, pure engineering masterpiece. But unfortunately, he broke it down, the rod bearings, reving too much on cold start or driving aggressively when the oil or the temperature isn't on the proper value, these cars aren't meant for everybody.

I doubt HE broke it down. The car just breaks. Rod bearings getting messed up, is a flaw with the car itself, not the drivers.

Big common problem in Germany right now. Stupid people are lazy and stay on the middle lane. They force other small and slow cars to use the left lane. That slows down the traffic and causes rear-end collisions. It's forbidden in Germany to overtake on the right lane, but sometimes you have so much space there, because some stupid idiots block the middle lane, that more and more people try it on the right, what also the cause of accidents again. You have no Speed limits in Germany, theoretically ... Good old times are over, stupidity is increasing!
