If you have the entire m54 coil harness its plug and play if you swap to the m52 connector with the brown wire and red/white wire. Just my .02

I had installed brand new coil packs. And now im getting misfire detected in cylinder's 3 5 & 6 initially had misfire detected in cylinder 4. So i bought new plug thinking it would correct issue. It however, carried over into the ones herein listed above. What am i possibly missing here ?

03 325ci with push coils.... Swapping a 3.0 with bolt in coils.. Am I able to swap over my 2.5 valve cover and just use my push coils and all stock wiring then? Thanks for your help

I must have missed something here... Which valve cover are you using for this upgrade? An m56 or a valve cover from a different engone? Bueller? Bueller? Bueller?

James Luke the aluminum valve cover used here is from a 325i SULEV engine.

Are the new style coil packs better than the old style?

Im not 100% sure upon old vs new coil packs being better. I think with this conversion you may need to swap fuel rail to possibly.. Check your fuel pressure what psi its putting out in bars.. 2.5 bars for example is say 45.2 which is right on target of bmw spec meaning fuel pump to fuel rail is doing its job so no issue there.

Sorry if this is a stupid question but why dont you just swap the main connector over. I mean the big plug that connects to the harness. Wouldn't that be easier and less work? Also is the point of changing to m60 gear because it doesnt crack as easy as m52/54?

Older 1 is bigger
