BMW M8 with Race Chip GTS Black Dragy Times

Shout out from Australia. Hey just have a couple questions that I hope you can answer. I'm hovering over the buy button but just not sure yet. So my questions are; Does the racechip work best matching the BMW modes or do the racechip modes work great with all the BMW modes? Also.. I've heard it interferes with being able to use your phone for music, is this true? Thanks mate I really appreciate it.

@@john.connor1 it was a good buy I had 21000 miles and no issues..I would buy again..it was a little difficult to install

Sooo, did you ever dyno the M8 post the Race Chip install? I'm trying to decide between this and the JB4 tune.

Did you put an intake on and did it work well with the supposedly stock car racechip?

No I just changed out the air filters..and removed the charcoal filters..gave it a little more intake sound

Looks like you let off towards the end on the pre-tune 1/4 mile run. Tell tale sign is that you only gained 2mph in 320 feet (1000 to 1320 feet). I think with a little bit warmer weather, you will see a much better 1/4 run with the tune.

Is the warranty void now due to the tune if anything goes wrong with the engine ?

yes..but it is a piggy back so most likely just take it off..BUT RaceChip give a $10,000 guarantee..almsot like the Dinan tunes

@@roguesupercars I closing on a M8 Comp this week. Yea they shouldn’t be able to tell if you take it off. If BMW corporate gets involved they can go into the engine and see the abnormal fluctuations. I’m hoping nothing goes wrong.

@@roguesupercars Wow. Car and Driver tested the comp and published an article said they got 2.5 better than a Ferrari 488 Pista. Anything under 3 for these cars stock is amazing. I am even more excited to get this thing. Thanks for the reply keep the great content coming.

Not with the racechip..but you can if you do an ECU tune..i may look into the ECU tune this summer

This is WAY OFF. An m8 that does 119 in the quarter mile has serious issues. It should be doing 130mp stock.
