After being on the bike in the garage since November, my Nav VI acted like it was detecting constant touch and wouldn't respond. This procedure seemed to set it right. Thank you!

does your nav alwasy ask about what location to show? You entered english but does that always come up?

Sorry, my original issue was the screen was stuck on erase all user data? It seemed like it wasn't responding to where I was touching yes, or no.

If you cannot calibrate the unit is possible that your touch screen is faulty. REGARDS

Do you know if Garmin have sorted out the screen ghosting problems that have been be reported in the past? I have just bought one and not sure if I should to keep it if i start having problems with the screen.

They have not... depending on where you are, some countries will keep replacing units (I've seen folks in forums being on their 3 replaced unis and still having issues) and in some countries like Ireland/UK where Garmin sends you to BMW, BMW sends you to Garmin and the only thing you can do is sell the device for parts. I'd say, sell it before it ecomes unusable. It's not a matter of "IF", it's "when".

Hello That ghosting problem it is a fault, if the touch screen calibration don't fix your problem, it means the touch screen is faulty. The part can be replace.

When I touch the first dot, mine shuts off completely. I made sure it was 100% charged.

Unplug it from power and try several times

Update: It also powers off in a few seconds even without touching the dot.

@@SmittyAZ Did you get it figured out? That is what mine is doing. Also, nothing on the touch screen works. I tried to do a hard reset and even the box to touch for erasing all data is frozen.

@@youranswer42 I contacted Garmin and had to send mine in for repair. I was going to pay 350$ for a replacement unit, but they repaired mine and sent it back. They fully refunded my deposit.
