Hi, thank you for the detailed video. I have a BMW 118d M-sport 2016. I was not sure whether I have Evo ID4, I was hoping you could help me with that. I checked the "navigation system verion" and I have "Road Map EUROPE Route 2016-1" so it doesn't have EVO written BUT, it doesn't have "road map NEXT" either. So is there another way for me to check whether I do have EVO ID4?

that is not NBT and not EVO ID4, that's EntryNAV multimedia system. we can only offer map updates for it.

Wait. U have whole set on table? Screen, idrive knob and multimedia ecu? Or how is that remote feature installer connected to your car? Via usb only? And car has to have electricity whole time while doing process? Im not into that coding every day so this kinda thing is new for me. Sorry for dumb questions. Peace

yes, i have whole bench setup for multimedia systems. feature installer is used with ENET cable. power supply MUST be connected to the car during the whole process, and regular battery charger is not suitable for that. don't worry, we all started somewhere, all questions are not dumb if asked correctly. whole procedure is same in car and on bench.

I don't think it is good idea to flash id4 to id6 because id6 has twice more memory than id4

Hi BimmLab Greetings from Switzerland Is this Video a guide for any bmw and mini cooper with nbt id4? same procedure dont matter if its an f30 or f36 etc and also the psdzdata for id4 to id6 i can use them always for id4->id6 Or is it everytime a custom psdzdata ?

same procedure for mini, but different files, addon is available for that too. you can use these data files for all the ID4's, no matter if it is F30 F32 or any other model.

@@bimmlab so for example if i would do an bmw f30 id4 to id6 i have the psdzdata for it then i can use them and need just codes for that car i am flashing it for festure installer like you have it on the video. For mini i would need other files meaning by lther codes for feature installer or i need other psdzdata ? I am asking if for bmw no matter what a car i can use always this psdzdata for id4 to id6 and then the festure codes and the procedure is the same like you did in the video ?

@@bmw4life592 you need a specific data files for this conversion to work without issues, if you will flash it with some random psdz it will have black screens, reboots etc. for every each car you will need a new set of feature codes.

The best tutorial, me and my boyfriend flashed our cars and everything worked great, and finally we have Apple CarPlay. Really thankful to the guy from the tutorial providing us with the needed codes and help. Just keep in mind that for some cars as mine F34 - the rear camera was not working because of the new software, however managed to fix it really quickly in esys with this: HU_NBT > 3001 > CAMERA_SYSTEM = trsvc

Screen has nothing to do with this conversion, you need to have EVO unit for that.

Hi, I want to flash my NBT2 Unit to a latest version so that I can get full-screen Apple Carplay. After Activating FA, do I click on Read "VCM" or Read "ECU"? I have been reading online and I am getting mixed messages from people. Some are saying to Read from VCM while others are saying Read from ECU. Does it really matter which way to go? Thank you!
