Good vid cheers, I have the triple black with spoke wheels, the TE version with all gizmos, it’s a great bike. Only thing I don’t like is quickshifter can lurch when changing down, almost like throttle still slightly open, but it isn’t. Did you notice this on your bike?

Nice one mate. Congrats on the new bike! We did indeed notice some imperfections with the quickshifter. It's an improvement but not the best setup in the business.

Great review 👏 I've already seen a few 1300 GS on the road and they look great in the flesh. Seriously thinking of buying one. Not to keen on the espresso machine though, think I'll just stop at a Cafe.

Enduro on a 1300cc engine bike?No wonder you are exhausted.These bikes are made for the road,adventure does not mean riding in the bush,you can still have as much adventure riding down the highways.

It’s a Wanderstiefel. A trekking boot. You choose, high-tech or classic and the market offers it for you. You want climbing boot? It’s not it, Running shoes, the same, it’s not it. You have a range of other motorcycles excelling in that and more so not excelling in anything, but doing the same thing as the GS, wandern, and you don’t need to sell your kidneys for it. None of the available bikes can be service in any distant world country you may dream of getting yourself into if you’re not supported by a specifically hired tour-support-team. Yes, forget the little 300, that, too, as most of those countries survive on scooter and bikes below 150cc of lowest chinese production. Your actual use-case determines what makes sense. You determine whether you buy what makes sense or what makes your heart run or whatever your indicator is for purchase, or even not, because let’s face it, most of us have decent bikes already, a couple of them eventually. My ranks on tuttiterrani motocicletta: - long-range wandern: moto guzzi v85tt - long-range off-road: T7 (crf300rally tuned-up for strong solo girls) - long-range de luxe: triple black beem (too many annoying niggles on the DCT AT 19”, still a great second in line), and no I would stay away from the adventure, not worth it, get an off-roader. - long-range road-sport: Kawasaki Versys 1000 (what? Hahahaha, shocked? You trust Ducati for long-range? I don’t!) - long-range lightweight: does not exist, has never existed since the early paris-dakar days. - long-range classic: RD07 - no I won’t go into any non long-range.

But it sounds terrible during normal daily driving. Like a diesel truck. The test drivers were obviously all deaf. In this price segment, with this history, a terrible fail.

My experience is different. I’ve owned mine ( my first BMW) for 4 months and this is a perfect bike for me. Lots of off-road riding in OR and WA and this beast exceeds my skill set. Fast, menuverable, and can chew up moles on end to go cross-continent if you choose. Best all-around bike in the world.
