Love the sound of it starting! I had an old r100t, and the gurgling exhaust sound still makes my heart sing!

Gorgeous bike and mods. I’m about to purchase one over the scrambler version, will be checking out more of your vids.

I’ve just bought one, would love to pick your brains about a few of these mods

Some neat mods there...those mirrors are perfectly fine I think. And a suspension upgrade is a better use of money than an extra clock! Great bike. Cheers, Steve

boxer engine needs a nice sliders on to of the cylinder heads bars are just unnecessary weight. Also bigger bash guard will be better if you taking offroad. additionally your rear shock will be exhausted in no time if there are no mudguard to protect it .. ;)

I would love this bike but it just doesn't have enough suspension travel 125/140 ...I haven't seen seen any kits for them unfortunately.. it needs at 170/170 to be comfortable on bumpy roads

Although I would absolutely agree that on rocky ground the bike is not comfortable, it is pretty capable on loose relatively even surfaces and it will take whatever you throw at it.

hi thanks for the video. Just bought a new urban gs few days ago. I have a question considering the cigarette lighter. I have currently a phone stand for my bike. And I need that lighter to connect the usb cable as a charger of my phone. But I don’t know where to put the cable that goes all the way to the handlebar. some of the parts are extremely hot. Could u plz help me ? Thanks in advance.

Pianoforest i usually loop it through the frame where the petrol tank retaining bolts are. You just need to make sure that you leave enough slack for the handlebars to make a full rotation left and right. Hope this helps!

Raoul Mooyaart thanks I just rewatched your video. I know the frame that you talk about. What I concern is that a few days ago I took a 10mins ride and I tried to touch that frame. Since it’s really close to the engine. The surface is extremely hot like 60 C. I’m afraid if I have a 2 hours ride and it could be hot enough to damage the wire or even put it on fire. 😰

Pianoforest I’ve been looping the wire round the frame for over a year including all the way round my trip to the Sahara desert and I’ve never had any issues.

@@RaoulMooyaart thanks a lot man. Its working perfectly now like u said. Can I ask u one last question pls ? What is your bike's engine temperature range? I'm getting 120 degrees when stuck in traffic for only 10 mins. Kind of worried about that. The dealership told me that it's normal....
@RaoulMooyaart4 жыл бұрын
Pianoforest yeah 120 degrees is about right. I commute through central London and on a bad day it’s been up to 139. It’s a big boxer engine with no fan, unfortunately when you’re not moving it’s going to get pretty warm

What's the mpg you get when commuting ?
@RaoulMooyaart3 жыл бұрын
Around town I get between 35-40 mpg

So those weren't risers I saw?
@RaoulMooyaart5 жыл бұрын
Dan T hi Dan, I forgot to mention the risers. They’re from Wunderlich. I’m 6’1” so it makes a big difference for long distance riding. Would definitely get a pair if you find yourself leaning forwards too much

A SJ I had a look at those too because I initially found the pegs a little high (I’m 6ft 1), but after a while I got used to them. Since having the bike I’ve not found the pegs uncomfortable, even on my 4K mile trip to Morocco. My concern about getting the lowering kit is the possibility of grounding out when cornering. I think they made the pegs high to make the bike more sporty.

40mm raise on the handle bars? Should have gone for an adventure bike. Sure you feeling the grind on a dirt road. Get a bike that fits your hobby. Love the Morroco vids.

Skid pan?

Koeur yes, it protects the oil sump. Useful bit of kit if you’re planning on riding on loose surfaces
