Which fork is it? Did you make adjustments on the frame for it?
@marcodevirgilis39502 жыл бұрын
no you do not make changes to the frame, the fork is of Honda derivation, the major modification is made to the fork plates and the original rim in order to mount the larger brake discs always derived from Honda.

@@marcodevirgilis3950 sounds great, but are there any changes in angle/geometry after the swap? How does it ride?

Hi there, please i just wanna know how much a motorcycle like this is going to cost me and is it hard to make such a build when i have no idea about building cafe racers?
@marcodevirgilis39502 жыл бұрын
It's quite expensive then it depends on what you want to accomplish! The cost of this in the video is about 15,000€ just for the realization without the bike.

depends, 7-40 k

no it's not very high that's right, otherwise it would be too low for me. then it can also be the video that doesn't perform well 😉

That is not a cafe racer. It's like people don't understand what a cafe racer is any more. To be honest, I'm getting sick of these bobbed airheads because the builders have all taken the same easy route of no mudguards. C'mon guys let's see some original style for a change.
@marcodevirgilis39502 жыл бұрын
I know what a caferacer is unfortunately to have views I had to write like this! This does not detract from the fact that it is a particular bike and much more beautiful than the original. Unfortunately I built a Honda cx 500 caferacer and it is not worthy of views. I invite you to search for the video on my channel and then tell me what you think! Thank you very much for your comment.

@@marcodevirgilis3950 Hi Marco. I hope you didn't take my comment to heart, it is only my opinion based on observations and experience of 52 years riding. The CX500 custom you built is a very nice bike and built to a high standard but cafe Racers don't have panniers! Back in the day cafe Racers were ordinary bikes which were used to perform acts of 'bravery' (read stupidity) and so modded - usually by owners who didn't have a lot of money to spend on their everyday bikes. They would fit clip-ons, sometimes a screen, maybe some engine mods like hot cams and high-compression pistons, rear-sets, racing seat and megaphones. The genre had as much to do with the riders with their chequered-taped petrol tanks and helmets, silk scarves and pudding-basin helmets as it did with the bikes.

@@andrewhayes4246 Hello! No, I didn't take your comment on the staff, unfortunately the story remains history! Today everything is more commercial now. Before these bikes were associated with bad guys who did everything to make them go faster with what they had while neglecting the aesthetic aspect! Now, however, builders are forced to meet the demands of the most demanding customers by changing the ethics of true “caferacer” sad truth but you are right! Thank you for exchanging a few words with me!
