I'm a bit late to this one but that was a great ride and I enjoyed watching it. I have an R1150GSA and am amazed how capable it is off road with some suitable tyres.

Sorry for the poor angle filming. Tough to watch. TKC 80 front, TKC 70 rear. The rear can get you through almost everything if you stay light on the gas, though you lose some of the fun factor. Putting a TKC 80 rear on this winter for some early spring fun.

Sweden looks like a beautiful place to ride. I follow a couple Swedish riders that produce some great content. Sarahz and Mattias.

Nice work mate, did you air down you tires for the dirt sections? If so what were you running at?
@THE-APEX5 жыл бұрын
Daniel Trygstad I don’t like to air down on this bike as its so heavy with me on it and the rocks never stop.
@danieltrygstad13195 жыл бұрын
dseften good to know! I just finished the continental divide trail on my 1150 gs. I didn’t air down because I was loaded with tools, camping gear and food. The bike handled amazingly good for the weight, but I wondered if it would have been better aired down just a bit. Thanks for the reply, ride safe!

17:08 Looks like just you got in the mud, the 2 KTM riders brought jackets at the local coins laundry?

That is correct. I was the only one without knobbies and when we hit that hole, I was directly behind the 990 that was spinning up splattering me with roost. THEY all had a good laugh!

I watched this video because I'm thinking of getting an R1150GS. If the bike will handle this it will handle anything I'll ask it to do.

It's an extremely well rounded bike if you want one bike to tick off a bunch of boxes.

Sorry for late and stupid comment, but how do you turn off the ABS? :)
@THE-APEX5 жыл бұрын
If you are riding the 1150gs - Press the ABS button on the controls, with the key off. Turn the key on, and the ABS lights will flash. Pull away and they should keep flashing with out the whirr-clunk noise of the ABS engaging at about 10 mph. The ABS lights will continue to flash until the engine is turned off to reset.
