Had the baseline version since December last year. I got canvas bags and the mustang seat the same as yours on ebay. Paid a premium to get them to nz but still worth it. No windscreen. Dont think you need one as the airflow at any speed is easy to deal with. Managed 20k kms since new. It has been a wonderful ride. Have thought about a sportier motorcycle but this machine does what it does so unbelievably well I'd be a fool to think the grass was greener over the fence . Its been a superb experience to date and despite resale value being penalised by lack of demand the ironical thing is its probably one of the nicest rides in its class.

I totally agree. I recently removed my windshield to experience the ride without it and I prefer it. I’ve had so many bikes and I have three now but I’ve never had a better bike. The combination of power, looks, comfort, the exclusivity. Just fantastic. And everyone who sees that motor says What the heck is that?! I love it.

Hi Have exactly the same bike and in the UK those lower wind deflectors would be useful. Any idea of make etc ? - much more suited than the ones I have been able to track so far.

They make a substantial difference. Really good at cutting down the rising air flow that can make my helmet bobble up and down without them. They came on the bike when I bought the bike secondhand. Someone told me they are made for the Honda VTX1300 or VTX1800. Shop looking for that bike and you might find them. Good luck!

I agree. There is a whole “right to service” movement going on in reaction to motorcycle manufacturers trying to make it impossible for you to service your bike yourself. I think that movement needs support.

Good question! The Valkyrie started to really bore me, as strange as that sounds. It’s just too smooth and refined and the looks were polarizing. The BMW is far more engaging to ride and is drop dead gorgeous.

I have one - buffering is an issue - what brand is your windscreen deflector please?

The wind deflector is Amazon standard issue. About $30 I think. I’ve had a bunch of them over the years in different sizes and they all work the same and do a good job.

Picking up mine next week. I didn’t want the test ride to end. But that pillion seat has to go. Who makes that little add-on fairing? Who makes those fork wind delectors? In advance, thanks for sharing.

I don’t know about the fork wind deflectors. They were on the bike when I got it. The wind deflector on the windshield comes from Amazon. Search for motorcycle wind defector and you’ll find them. Various sizes but I’ve had many and they all work. Thanks!

@@QuentinsMotoVlog In case someone else asks, the fork deflectors are from Memphis Shades. On their website, they are listed for an XV1900 Roadliner (Ghost & Polished Mount Kit). $98.90 plus tax.

The Classic does have a smaller wheel and fatter tire than the standard BMW R18. I've never ridden the standard so I can't tell you the relative difference but the Classic handles well.
