BMW R60/2 Engine Rebuild Part 1

Wow In the late 70s I bought a r60/2 with a bad crank too. Sent the crank out to have it rebuilt then rebuilt it. Rode it for 5 years before I sold it. It had a full fairing and saddle bags. Loved it but not enough to keep it

Excellent job explaining this to a novice as iam . How often do you clean out the slinger as far as periodic maintenance? Thanks

Recommended interval is 30k miles, but long periods of sitting or infrequent oil changes can mean it is required well before that.
