I couldn’t see myself spending that kind of money either. I was actually going to fabricate one, until I came across your brilliant idea and it’s covered in real carbon fiber. I was going to go with an akro or SC full system. Then you need to reflash ecu and that will void the factory warranty. I’ve heard of the set up not being smooth and had other issues even with brentune. Thanks for putting out this video.

Many of my friends have had issues with degraded tunes - I let the ecu compensate on its own, there’s is some popping from removing the cat and still some after installing the PAIR Block Off from Brock’s Performance… hope this is helpful

@@joshkane534 This part will fit for sure: Sormor Glossy Carbon Fiber Muffler Pipes Exhaust Tips with Mirror Polishing Stainless Steel, Inlet 63mm(2.5inches) Outlet 89mm(3.5inches). Or any pipe that has same inlet 63mm/2.5”.

@sebastianocornelio9774 that's what I bought and it's too big. Needs an adapter or gasket I guess. Not sure if it's different, but mine is a 2023 model with the akropovic titanium slipon from the factory. I bought "FAIZJUNBEN carbon fiber exhaust tip, carbon fiber tail pipe, inlet size 63mm/2.5", outlet size 89mm/3.5" carbon fiber muffler, suitable for automotive exhaust pipes with a diameter of 61-63mm" and there's too much slop. It won't tighten down

Back probe your o2 sensor with a multimeter and you will see that it does do something to your A/F ratio.👍

@@natvega1 yeah, what does it do? What’s the scale and is it out of the upper or lower limits? I can afford the bike so I can afford the sensor and fuel. I like it loud and people definitely hear me coming, so I guess it’s a trade off.

Take the cables out of the exhaust servo for sound improvement otherwise you won’t notice a difference then the can can help. Obviously cat out would make a hell of a difference but that complicates things

I am a South African living and working in China. And I have recently (three days ago from writing this message) purchased an S1000rr 2023 and the exhaust is full stock. But due to crazy police regulations here I don't think I will get away with a full system so I am going to add a slip on. Does the quality of the slip on effect the motorcycles engine and overall health? Also does a catalyst harm a motorcycle in any way or not? Was just thinking about it.

Just got back from my first test drive…..WOW!!!! Especially in dynamic pro…..it thunders down the road and when you roll off the throttle it sounds like M80s going off. I can see other drivers looking in their mirrors. In regular road mode it’s not too load and no m80’s. All this with the cat and exhaust flap still in place. I can’t even begin to imagine taking out those additional 2 db killers.😎😁👍

The tip is absolutely useless Maybe aesthetic at best and very slight change in tone I wen full budget and kept the cats but cut open the bih muffler box and straight piped the connection to the tip

@@benjaminknibbe3727 nope but there is no magic in a muffler it might have two or three drilled pipes in it. You can just buy a mid section specifically for the s1000 You cut right on the cats... drill the porous material out and the run a straight pipe to the tail There are video about that

Bought the same one that you linked to on Amazon, and it's too big, too much play in it. Does anybody know the best way to make it fit? Donut gasket, reducer, etc? The inlet diameter is slightly larger than the outlet diameter on the exhaust pipe coming off the bike. My bike is a 23 model BTW if that helps. Any insights would be appreciated!

You should be able to keep tightening until it is tight , mine did the same… I’ll check later and see if I can t t the mm measurements

@texasmotorrad8680 what I ordered was the same 2.5" ID carbon fiber tailpipe, but the factory akrapovic slip on fit snug on the bike pipe, but this fits too loosely and the clamp is fully tightened.

The bike was hot and the valve was open… after installing the Akrapovic header it was removed so it now pretty much a straight pipe.

I just found a 2015, 2016 stock system on ebay and replaced the whole thing then found a used clean slip on, much improved performance and sound, oh ya cheap!

Amazon has many Chinese made parts that are from $39.99 and up and these are fake carbon. The ones that are real OEM BMW parts are made in Germany and are real Carbon fiber parts.

It does not- it is after the catalytic converter so all functions are still the same.

Don’t know why that would be the case - all the emissions are still in place and it’s after the catalytic converter, so the only thing that is different besides how it looks is the small change in sound. It’s no different than adding the same tip to a BMW M5 or M3 in any country. Did you watch my video on KZbin?

What the video is about is not waisting $600 on bullshit tips that don’t affect the back pressure and are only about 10 decibel lower than an open pipe - so what’s the point of your tip? “It looks nice” Did the Akrapovic Header and just added a tip no big deal… my bike has over $3k in Proti Titainium bolts, so I think I can afford your crappy tip just don’t want it… so let’s see ur bike and mods
