That's normal, if you have the one under the hood, use that one. The one inside the cabin wont have access to all components unless you bridge some pins under the hood.

Carly can not do this, you'll need more advanced BMW software.

It can read and clear the codes, but cannot do a DME / EWS alignment.

Hello, I’ve deleted my SAP and I was hoping Carly could tune it out so it doesn’t throw a code, but it doesn’t look like Carly can do that, do you have recommendations on how to do that?

You'll need DME tuning software for that. Any chance you're local to San Diego? My shop can do this for you.

@@russellnorris1229 Not without the computer attached to your car having the same software and license. And if they're smart enough to get it setup, executing the proper commands is the easier part. Up for a road trip? ;)

Great video, Ryan. I’m got a ‘02 E39 M5. My OBC seems to be stuck in Spanish. TEST-NR.10 does not show any other languages. Will Carly code for OBC languages?

I would use PASoft to code the language... or test 21 cluster reset and see if that works.

Hey can I code out my downstream 02 sensors? I had them replaced and the mechanic said one was rounded off so bad he had to move the new one up 5 inches above the old one so now my engine light is on due to this issue?? Any ideas?? Thanks!!

Carly cannot code out the sensors, and that is not the proper solution for your problem. You either have bad sensors, or by moving it that far, it's too hot/cold to function properly.

So recently my ABS and traction control lights came on in my E39 (not necessarily the trifecta because the "brake" light remains off). Would this app tell me what is specifically wrong with my car? For example, would it let me know which speed sensor is out? Or if it's an ABS module problem? Or do you think it would be very vague and just tell me what I already know?

It will give you a very good idea of where to check (speed sensors, pressure valves, etc etc). I would say it would definitely help point you in the right direction.

Yes it would, but you need the adapter cable for under the hood.

Didn't work consistently/reliably on either of my 2001 530Ds. Carly were never able to diagnose the problem and eventually gave me a full refund. I went back to using MaxiECU.

I had some dudes tell me Carly isn't enough for coding, even tho I use INPA all the time, everyone told me to not waste money on Carly. Carly does pretty much everything you need so now here's my proof for it.

My basic understanding is, that on new cars when, say a light bulb goes and you get a warning light on the dash, after changing bulb, the light stays on. Or if you service your car, changing oil and filter on the drive, after that you'd need to tell the car tge service has been done. In such circumstances this app vould help you because a local garage charges you to reset it for you. Then again, if you service once a year or rarely fix your car then subscription is not justified, and if you like to tune your car then you'd need an advance equipment. Big shout to Carly, although they have to make money, but I can't justify a subscription for a home user and it's not advance enough for a professional mechanic.

I don't recall if this is built in or not, but there are absolutely other apps in the app store that would have that.
