+1. I just had the same steering bushing replaced last week on my 2014 F30. It seems to have fixed the problem of a knocking noise when I went through some road bumps (fast rebound?) that appeared to be coming from the starting rack. Keep up the good work. Your BMW videos are my main source of reference for my BMW.

I had a similar loose steering with a clunk on my E46. Turns out all I needed to do was tighten the pinch bolts where the guibo mounts to the splined end of the steering column. I guess at some point someone had been in a rutted road or carpark and put too much force through the wheel, loosening it.

worth checking the front control arm bushings as well, similar presentation in my experience

I had this in an x1 2019 at 60k in a test drive. I had the problems with the car not turning back straight and vagueness while driving at speed. I believe someone just left the old bush on and tightened it up!!

Hey, George. Same problem I have on my E90 LCI. When I turn the steering wheel left-right fast, like you did in the video, I hear the same noise. Could you do a video on the causes of that noise? Because I did not find on realoem any part no. resembling this bushing you use on the F - series. And the tie rods are new btw. Thanks a million.

Slipper and sideplate side plate should have small amount of lock tight on it tightened down the backed off quater of turn torque for the bar winding threw shud be between 8nm 18nm stop premature wear on the slipper

Might need to give this a go! Car always surprises me with the steering on the motorway. Seems to make a sudden pull to either side if I go over an uneven road surface. - not all the time

Hello George from Sweden! My girlfriend has an issue where her BMW E92 320i won't pass the inspection due to CO2-emissions being to high. The CO at idle is 0.6 where 0.3 is the higest allowed pass and the CO2500 which means CO at 2500 rpms is 0.9 and 0.2 is the highest allowed pass. Do you have any clue what might make this happen?
