+Diesel Review You should have shown the entire production process. I don't understand what your thing with BMW diesel is.....but BMW does not build very durable or reliable diesels....more so in comparison to the Benchmark...which is Peugeot. Their Light-duty Diesels are superior to all others....and explains they(PSA Group) are #1 in sales World-wide..installed in variety of vehicles(different brand makes). BMW "just in time" is a joke in comparison to the Japanese/Koreans.....which again...set the standard in the least amount of time in producing vehicles and with the least amount of defects which are remedied at the end-of the line.

+orangegreenify Thanks! I was shocked when they started vehicles for the first time. The first starts were uneventful as there was no sputtering, no stalling, and no drama. Then they drove them to a test booth where they use a test program and rolling road to drive the cars at high speed - before leaving the factory floor! This was done to every X3 and X4 produced for worldwide distribution in this assembly hall. It was a great experience and I'm glad I had the opportunity to share it with everyone.

@arbeliroz8 жыл бұрын
+Diesel Review yeah i watched till the very end. they get paid less.whats that suppose to mean? so maybe BMW should start building those cars in China cause their workers will get paid even less. there is something that called 'country pride'. i guess lots of people wouldnt buy Cadillac or Corvette if they knew its built in France for exemple. im sure those American Beemers are a quality equally to those from Germany but still....
@DieselDrives8 жыл бұрын
+Arbeli Rozenberg On a highly engineered product, any skilled worker can assemble parts. Reliability comes down to engineering. Quality comes down to engineering and craftsmanship. However, most modern products and parts are machine made. It's the assembly by people that still matters. Assembly line workers can't take a break whenever they feel like taking a leak or grabbing a smoke. They must produce with a cadence in shifts. And they are on their feet all day. It's work. So I seriously doubt they don't take the job seriously enough to not care. Next time you go to a restaurant or bar, consider who works harder, the bartender, server, or the assembly line? Quality of the job and where it's done almost makes no difference these days if engineered correctly, which is why highly talented techies work from home. Does working from home degrade the quality over working from an office? Thanks for watching!
@tjcsec19827 жыл бұрын
But those workers are paid well.

I have X5 made in SC. quality is TOTAL DISASTER. they cannot even make DOOR HANDLES. Material disintergrates and my X5 handles are gluey and have to be replaced. I will NEVER EVER GET A GERMAN CAR. Only Lexus for me. BMW quality SUCKS! My X5 transmission disntegrated at 190Kmiles because I FOLLOWED BMW/ZF recommendation of LIFETIME OIL. Soon later engine - where I replaced oil meticulously broke down ENTIRELY. I have a toyota with 2x miles. NO ISSUES AT ALL. BMW quality esp quality of materials and general engineering is DISASTER. FYI. TO TOW the car u need special red 'hammer' tool to disengage transmissionm into NEUTRAL to pull it on a truck. SAME THING in a Camry requires a PUSH of a button no special WEIRD IDIOT ENIGNEERING red hammers easy to lose. I will not mention the insane problems with getting parts for fule pump recal I had. BMW dealers and BMW corporate had me stranded in California without parts for MONTHS. NO refund for all tows and hassles. TOTAL DISASTER COMPANY. Never again BMW

+Tadeusz Tomaszew You are in a messed up mental state, but I'll leave this comment here for entertainment.

your comments on OTHER people mental state DO attest to your mental state. BMW cars are super poor quality and this factory produces cars with quality that DOOR HANDLES disintegrate in 5 years due to POOR materials. Stick to your mental state of DIESEL. Their QUALITY in customer satisfaction polls show what they make. Cars that are a NIGHTMARE to maintain long term and their recall history and customer treatment...disaster. As for your comment attacking me for my review of BMW poor and disastrous quality of cars ...you do sound to me like a rep from BMW that I dealt trying to have them fix fuel pump required under NHTSA recall !!!! Customer service typical for a country that was doing so much stuff under nazi rule obliterating half of the world starting 1939

You should refrain from assulting others on newsgroups. I am refering to BMW quality of engineering. and you better refrain such NAZI personal attacks on others. This is especially alarming since you are posting about BMW, the company that used forced labor to produce stuff for a NAZI regime. Never a BMW in m lifetime, the X5 they produced is a total lemon and disaster - poor enigneering, bad or NO durability of materials, design issues that are typical for 5th world countries - Trabant from DDR was better in its reliability than my X5. Till today NHTSA fuele pump recall did not get done as it should have been - constant issues with fuel pump. Seeking help from BMW is like a JOKE. If one has time it is easier and faster to just sue the hell out of them...this company does not seem to be able to make DOOR HANDLES right let alone the ZF transmissions are total TOTAL reliability disaster.

I think your vernacular qualifies for the 3rd world GHETTO where JUNK cars are assembled. I think it may also well characterize the education, culture and intrelligence of fans of certain 'brands' of cars. It speaks for itself who drives what.
