BMW X3 E83 PCV valve change

I have a 2013 BMW X3, it has exactly the same valve, I noticed that some cars even same year they have the valve integrated to the cover and you have to replace the whole cover. I already order the part from amazon, hopefully will be an easy task, thank you for the video. Do you need to scan and erase anything? I don't have a code, but I have the Powertrain Failure light on. Thank you.

Why do some N46 engines have this valve on top of the rocker cover and some don't? My mechanic replace rocker cover gasket + cover itself and now the decorative cover no longer fits. And I've noticed that rocker cover is different - now it has this round valve on top.. Previous did not have that. Super confused, cannot find any details about the differences...
