BMW Z4 GT3 RAW Sound at Monza Circuit!!

You know I have a soft spot for this BMW which I consider the best sounding GT3 race car I've ever heard. Snooping among old folders I found some scenes I've never upload about three BMW Z4 GT3s in action at Monza Circuit during a test of March 2015, which was probabily the last time I heard that divine V8 sound. Been a few years but I still love the rawness of this car. The vicious backfiring, the old school Gearwhine, I put it right up there with the C7.R in pure rawness (and the new Lexus RC-F GT3 now that I remember).

In IMSA, we got the Z4 GTLM which made more power and revved to 8300RPMs. Probably the best sounding car on the circuit.

Who knows, everyone has their own opinion. Personally I think the M6 is unique, it sounds quiet on power I will grant you that but it sounds great off power when the wastegate is going crazy like a old school rally car.

It's the rev-limiter, which cuts the ignition to stay within the speed limit in pitlanes. Even though the injection is stoped as well, there always gets some unburned fuel into the very hot exhaust, where it is then burned. This makes those awesome crackles :P
