On my other BMW there was a BC button on the turn signal lever. Once you select the tip data option on the display, how do you cycle through the different options like avg miles since refill, mileage for individual, ext.?

I have one of these and it’s hilarious how the software engineers have run amok. I was driving down a boring stretch of freeway, so out of curiosity I went into the “my modes” and starting actually looking at the options there. I knew what sport mode was since I use it in the mountains, but I was wondering WTH some of the others like “relaxed mode” was so I clicked it. Both screens switched to some wierd abstract digital art, the seat massagers came on, and then for no obvious reason, the skylight shade rolled back.😂 The only thing it didn’t do was switch the Sirius to some soothing elevator music channel. Somebody at BMW Engineering must have WAY too much time on their hands🎉.

@@ssmaria Mostly just baffled.I also notice there is a display of vehicle status screen that shows a little 3D picture of the car you can rotate 360 degrees. It shows the headlights, turn signals and brake or tail lights when they are on, the little wheels spin when the car moves, and when you brake it shows little skid mark bands trailing from the tires. I have no idea what the point of all that is. There is also a software glitch; when I lift on the accelerator or brake it puts up a battery regenerating message even though it’s a gasoline model. The electric version of the X2 isn’t sold in the US.

@@Palaemon44 Actually, all BMWs have "regeneration", the alternator that keeps the battery charged functions dynamically, it can alter the amount of charge depending on what you are doing. For example, if the battery is above a certain threshold it only keeps the charge, but the moment you lift of the acceletaror the alternator goes to "maximum charging" to take advantage of the car's momentum. That's why it shows in the cluster that you are "regenerating"... it's a gimmick but it's real, and it's in all BMWs since the 2010s or around there.

I have one and it looks like an ugly little bulldog to me but it’s otherwise a great car so I can live with the styling. I’m inside driving it so I don’t have to look at the outside and the interior is very nice, indeed. The surround cameras compensate for the fact that with the styling, you can hardly see anything out the back. What’s puzzling is that I have meet some people who raved to me about how great my car looks. 🤔 I don’t get it, I think my previous X1 was much better looking, but apparently some people dig that sort of “butch” aggressive look. No accounting for taste.

I think the sales numbers in The Netherlands speak for itself. I have seen this model only once here. And i am on the road daily. This tells how ugly this car is. But if you like it, that is what counts. No further external validation needed.
