The first-ever BMW M2 CS is a special model in the premium compact class, based on the BMW M2 Competition. This exclusive, limited volume vehicle, represents the perfect fusion of M typical design and uncompromising lightweight construction, to deliver exceptional performance on the road and the race track. The BMW M2 CS will continue the legacy of the highly successful BMW M3 CS and BMW M4 CS.
BMW M2 CS - Fuel consumption in l/100 km (combined): 10.4-10.2 [9.6-9.4]. CO2 emissions in g/km (combined): 238-233 [219-214].
Acceleration (0-100 km/h): 4.2s [4.0s]. Power: 331 kW, 450 hp, 550 Nm. Top speed (limited): 280 km/h. Paint finish shown: Misano Blue metallic.
All performance, fuel consumption and emissions figures are provisional. The figures in brackets refer to the vehicle with seven-speed M double-clutch transmission with Drivelogic. #TheM2CS
The values of fuel consumptions, CO2 emissions and energy consumptions shown were determined according to the European Regulation (EC) 715/2007 in the version applicable at the time of type approval. The figures refer to a vehicle with basic configuration in Germany and the range shown considers optional equipment and the different size of wheels and tires available on the selected model. The values of the vehicles are already based on the new WLTP regulation and are translated back into NEDC-equivalent values in order to ensure the comparison between the vehicles. [With respect to these vehicles, for vehicle related taxes or other duties based (at least inter alia) on CO2-emissions the CO2 values may differ to the values stated here.] The CO2 efficiency specifications are determined according to Directive 1999/94/EC and the European Regulation in its current version applicable. The values shown are based on the fuel consumption, CO2 values and energy consumptions according to the NEDC cycle for the classification. @@ch_carshots7752 Gute Frage! Naja, bisherige Konzepte waren ja immer eine "Vorausschau" auf zukünftige Modelle... Da waren auch M1 Hommage, 2002 Hommage und CSL Hommage dabei... Solche Modelle würde ich absolut feiern! Da wären mir "hohe" Nieren auch recht, da es zu solchen Modellen passt! Aber bei den sonstigen, aktuellen Modellen schüttel ich oft nur noch den Kopf! Wie kann man als sportliche Marke mit so einer langen Tradition seine Alleinstellungsmerkmale nur soo verraten? Sicherlich tun Vorderradantrieb-Modelle und Downsizingmotoren dem Absatz gut, aber wenn man nicht mal mehr die Wahl auf "mehr" hat...?

About the cam timing gear on the crank nose, is it just friction fitted with NO keyway, or is the crank nose properly machined to allow the timing gear to be mechanically secured with a keyway so that the timing gear does not spin-off the crank nose, and causing major damage? If the timing gear remains just friction fit, no thanks, this will just lead to legacy problems with the engine.

I dont know why you say that. The original M2 with 370hp was already a toy to play with, and ask anyone who rode it, it was a lot more alive and "dangerous" to drive than the M4 simply because the chassis is shorter and behaves a lot different than the m4...

What a load of bullocks. The M2 is highly regarded and the best M car since the 1M. It's a pipe dream if you think BMW were going to build the first gen M2 to perform like a CS.
