Oh so many memories here. I first played Ultima 4 on my C64 way back in December 1985 as the computer and the game were a Christmas present. Next was Ultima 3 (for me) and then in 1988, Ultima 5 on my C128 which had a killer soundtrack with 16 songs. 👍

The guy that invented this went to Space. Über nerd. He also bought Lunokhod and Luna hardware from Russia (which is on the moon) and thus claimed The Moon in the name of Lord British. Epic nerdistry

This game was so high tech that it used disks instead of cassettes. The music takes me straight back to wonderful childhood memories :)

I have the fast load cart, but at least on my hardware, it was occasionally causing loading errors.

The reason why the pitch may be higher on your hardware is because most C64 emulators default to the PAL speed. I assume you have an NTSC SX-64 which runs about 4% faster.

lol I attacked everyone the first time I played when going into towns just attacked me got to a very high level restarted had a notebook of quests and people but after months of playing just stoped playing also had 3 1541 and a 1581 drive so did not need to swap as many disks. later added a 30meg IDE hard drive so could run a color 64 DDS (Mobius Strip in Oakland CA)
