BMX - 2018 FLORIDEAH SWAMP FEST - HIGHLIGHTS

Not since the UGP Roots Jams have so many BMX riders ascended on central Florida like they did this past weekend for the 2018 Florideah Swamp Fest. Astatula, Florida, was the place to be this weekend, with the promise of lots of fun, plenty of sketchiness on and off the bikes, and an escape from the winter weather. Here's a highlight video featuring all the action from the ridiculously sketchy and unpredictable ramps to the perfect dirt jumps (courtesy of Ryan Herbach and Cody Diggs), to the 64 foot long Subrosa Swamp Rail, and the massive Scotty Cranmer Best Trick jump. Hats off to Trey Jones and everyone else who helped make this event possible.

I've been following bmx for over 20 years. It's really amazing what they are doing now. It's even more amazing how many good riders there are these days. It used to be that there were a few standouts, but today there are so many. The average rider today is doing stuff with such perfection that you rarely saw even ten years ago. The sport is healthy!
